They're slow paced and defensive minded, they've won a billion times already, their star player's schtick is that he has no personality, which comes after 20 years of their previous star's schtick being that he's boring, and who the gently caress cares about LaMarcus Aldridge? Did some actual look up of Pelican stats since the All-Star break/Cousins trade. %FGA Open (defender 4-6 feet away): 28.2% (13th best, just behind the Spurs); 23.6 open fga p/gm FG% on Open shots: 32.7% (worst, by far) eFG% on Open shots: 38.5% (worst, by far) %FGA Wide Open (defender 6+ feet away): 20.5% (tied for 8th with the Spurs); 17.1 wide open fga p/gm FG% on Wide Open shots: 35.0% (worst) eFG% on Wide Open shots: 46.3% (tied for worst with Clippers) So, yeah. They are getting a healthy amount of open looks, but aren't knocking them down. Pulled stats from stats.nba.com. They are getting 41 shots p/gm that are basically uncontested and they are making 14 of them. That's roughly 34%. Cousins is the third best 3pt shooter for the Pels since the break at a blistering 28.6%. Moore is at 60.0% and Cunningham at 36.4%.

Their all-star ratio is off the charts even if you don't count LaMarc Gasoldridge as 2. the spurs had 1 all-star this year. washed up hall of famers are kinda nice, but they're not exactly playing like hall of famers right now. not even like all stars! look, i love the team, i think they're great fun, but "hall of famers" and combined rings doesn't exactly paint an honest portrait of old stars in the twilights of their careers. i tend to think of defense as the part where you don't pull your hair out because your team is letting the other make up every shot you just made. good defense leads to less stress and more enjoyment. good defense makes good offense more enjoyable because the offenses sticks. i say this as a fan of a team who's last 4 games were insane last play/OT games and who have a history of blowing huge leads all season. defense is cool and not boring. i don't understand why people think this. Cool Buff Man posted:Lmao chill the gently caress out, the guy doesn't want to root for the Spurs. i'm not "freaking out, man" just talking basketball. everything's totally cool. also, the guy i'm talking to isn't the guy who asked who to root for. seriously, type more than 6 words and everyone thinks you're having a meltdown. The Bucks don't fit your first criteria, and you will hate the Bucks because Jason Kidd hates having consistent line-ups. If you want to watch a streaking team, the Wizards have had the best record in the east since the new year and they have no major injuries unlike most of the other teams.
