I'm not a huge fan of Sportsnet's presentation or most of their commentators but I don't think that's why their ratings would be down. Even if it was on tsn the ratings would probably be about the same. People just don't want to watch that much hockey I think. I watch a lot because I'm weird but most people only care about their team and don't bother checking out other games majority of the time. I actually appreciate that they show so much of it even if it's not doing as well as they'd like.

I don't watch more Sportsnet than I have to because they somehow found worse commentators than TSN. I absolutely refuse to watch anything on TVA Sport because every single hockey person on it who isn't Mike Bossy is a complete loving idiot.

you gotta admire sestito's efficiency though, some goons are sent out every game for a fight here, a dirty hit there, spending 95% of their time mostly just making GBS threads up the ice trying (and failing) to play real hockey. sestito just goes out there and gets into a fight, throws a dirty hit, and gets ejected all in the first three shifts in his first game up from wilkes-barre

Also he's tied for second in the NHL in scoring which still surprises me every time I look at it (unrelated, Pittsburgh with two 70 point players already is stupid). Really glad he signed his contract last summer.

Really glad he signed his contract last summer. Sid has slowed down a lot lately (because loving Sullivan sticks Kunitz to his hip) but Malkin has gone into god mode to make up for it. First world problems yo. It's not even out of the question the Pens could have three PPG players by the end of the year. Kessel isn't so far off.
