Sure there's some greedy hospitals, like there's some effective affordable health care too. Most of the time though they're just poor and victims of the current state of the medical industrial complex.

I was under the impression hospitals charge a lot because they're only going to get a fraction of the asking price from the insurer so they start high I'd say prescription drugs are the same way except that poo poo is also for profit so they'll be high no matter what basically health care in the us is bullshit
