Fun story: When EC started doing these Bradbury adaptations, they decided to skip the hassle of securing the rights and paying Bradbury for the use of his stories. So when he found out about it, Bradbury sent them a letter saying he hadn't received his check yet but he was sure it was in the mail. They got the hint.

Wow that's pretty ballsy. Nice way of going about it on Bradbury's part though - I guess they hadn't invented lawsuits yet.

So the official story (such as it is) is that Parker modeled Mopsy after herself (Apparently based on a remark Rube "Yes that Rube Goldberg" Goldberg made about her hair), and the resemblance checks out. She also got married to Benjamin Allen, who I guess was involved with her work on Flapper Fanny in some capacity? Wikipedia is vague as hell on the issue.

Now, none of that precludes her being gay, or bisexual, or what have you, but if she was she did not keep any prominent "longtime female companions" which is usually the giveaway on the former.

Star Trek

I'm sure these aliens are going to turn out to be warlike or religious fanatics or at the very least severely misguided because this is Trek, but they're still darned cute.

Condition red. :) I imagine some bureaucrat at 80's Star Fleet decided that "red alert" sounded too scary and would stress people out. (Yes, I know it's still 1979. For like one more page.)

Spock, I'm sure this is all really fascinating and all, but we seriously are about to crash into the moon so if you could just cut to the chase...

I like the included tidbit that the Enterprise is not built to land. It just has to stay up in space forever. All the Trek I've watched all my life and I never really thought about that. Even though it seems like they crash it in every other movie, so clearly safe landings aren't its strong suit.
