Cool. I think I'll get him at the very least for having a level 1 companion, if I ever decide to play through any class story a second time (I'll probably level an Operative because I want one, and it seems thematically cooler than Sniper). It'll also let me skip out on using Kaliyo at all.

And on an unrelated note, finally snagged a set of Jori Daragon armor for 40 mil. May I be so lucky to come across a Darth Andeddu set for a similar price.

Welp, finished Chapter 9 of the stuff that was added since I last played. It was so great to see Valkorion's aura of smug finally get penetrated and for him to completely lose his poo poo when he realizes how badly he hosed up.

Queue up for Master Black Talon (the new hotness with the weekly for CXP) and umm our Tank is dying fairly quickly. I'm a full-242 healer that's cleared HM ToS so wtf...ohh of course lvl 65 in dps greens. Yadira Ban defeated Your Tank with Cyclone Nova (354194 damage)  Also I wonder how many Arbiter sabers BW has sold at $60 bux a pop.

I looked at him, level 53 Marauder. Xenoanalyst doesn't have bolster. Browse through the other people and there's 3 others that were less than level 60. Raid leader keeps saying "We just need to up the DPS a bit!". I said "Well we're effectively 12 manning it since 4 people can't touch him and die instantly (the Marauder seriously had 12k HP). After the fifth try I peaced out. Of course all the lowbies were in a guild with the guild leader.

I got HK-51, and yeah just the stuff on that ship alone was well worth doing the quest. The scavenger hunt took an entire evening, but I imagine it would've been a LOT worse, had I done it a few expansions ago. I did Oricon, which honestly doesn't seem worth doing unless you're planning on following it up immediately with Dread Fortress and Dread Palace. I did the Shadows of Revan prelude stuff, and part of Rishi, and this is probably my favorite part of the post-50 content so far. I liked Makeb, but this is just a lot more fun. I only wish that my Jedi Consular wasn't so boring. (Shadow is my favorite class mechanically and animation-wise, but she sounds like she has no personality whatsoever in cutscenes). I'm actually looking forward to the KOTFE and KOTET stuff.

I'm trying to get that rep finished so I can activate my war tauntaun. Last time I ran the dailies I accidentally aggroed two of the champions in the heroic area at the same time. Took a while to grind them down with tank/healing companion.

Maybe because he's not a ghost. I mean the story is already hugely inconsistent about his back story and how his power works. If they hadn't run his whole storyline into the ground it would be fertile ground for investigation, because at one point his original body is supposedly still around and being moved to a secure location following the JK killing the Voice at the end of that storyline. Valkorion's presumably just another Voice, one of many, but I guess the writers decided Force possession works based on Freddy Kreuger rules. tl;dr writers forgot that binding ghosts was a thing that happened, don't worry about it

What even is the point of strongholds aside from a place to decorate and quicktravel/dump stuff? It feels like with the name Strongholds there should be an actual defense mechanic there.

I'm ostensibly a roleplayer (been out of the scene a long time, honestly) and Strongholds are fantastic if you're into giving your characters a story. I set up Tatooine as a whole outlaw town that sprang up around an abandoned Hutt palace, where my character set up a semi-legitimate swoop garage to fix up old speeder bikes and sell 'em to gangsters and pirates. I don't do a whole lot with it but it's fun to run around in there, and sometimes new decorations come out that open up new ideas and it's lots of fun. Also I trade keys with my friends; one guy set up an elaborate casino on Nar Shaddaa that is really drat impressive. Another element that's cool is that I make video game mods, and I like MMO's, but you can't usually mod MMO's... just for balance reasons if nothing else. With strongholds I get to have that creative outlet in a setting where I usually don't. So that's appealing in its own way. Also I'm an artist and I guess I like building stuff in general. Functionally, they do have the advantage of being a spot you can instantly teleport to from anywhere, with fast access to mail, cargo, vendors, and GTN. So I can totally see that Strongholds aren't for everybody, but I'm like THE target audience for that poo poo.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if they dropped the Conquest bonus from the % decorated and instead tied it to % unlocked I would spend a lot more time decorating. Instead me, and anyone else who ever does conquest, puts effort into maybe 1-2 strongholds and then dumps chairs and lights all over the other ones to get that bonus. If I want to clear it up and redecorate then I lost my bonus. Everyone that cares about the conquest bonus is going to unlock every room so they can get to 100% anyway, so why not just tie the bonus to that?
