If this is my first palpatine event I have to do all the way to Tier 7 to get him 7* in May right?

If I can't get to tier 7 then I have to wait until july even if I get to tier 7 in may, right?

What? No, so long as you have five 7* rebels and can beat the event with them, you can get to T7 and get Palpatine. If you can't manage that now but can in may, you get 7* Palp then.

Are the shard rewards at the higher tiers different? I was assuming it was 25 for each Tier like the first 5 I've been able to do.

Each star tier you beat gives you the exact number of shards to boost EP to that star level. So basically the star level of your rebels which you are able to beat the EP challenge = total star level of your EP. Beat the 7* challenge you get a 7* EP.

..........That makes sense.

For some reason I wasn't giving the game the benefit of the doubt and assumed the most scummy pay2win way possible that each tier gave 25 shards and each event refreshed the tiers so you had to get to certain tiers each event to do it in four months intead of six, assuming you couldn't do it in one go (which apparently you can the way it actually works)

Yea the EP & Yoda event are actually pretty good from a F2P angle. Since you also get the credits to unlock the character as well.

I would say that I wish Galactic War node 12 was more consistent but if it was I'm sure it would be toward the OP enemies.

Yesterday I hit a team 11 levels higher than me of all 7* synergized bounty hunters that was completely impossible for me to beat

Today it was a team 4 levels higher than me of random characters that I didn't even have to heal for since I killed 2 of them before they even got to move.

Yeah, it frustrates the piss out of me when that happens. Even more frustrating when I can't even make it to 12 no matter how many times I change my roster and close out to prevent death. I wind up throwing entire teams at them in hopes of taking out just one guy until my whole roster is dead.

If I could refresh my roster for 50 crystals, I probably would. That's leaving money on the table.

Aside from trying to grind out seven more 5* ships so I can farm Zeta, most of my energy is going towards putting together a First Order arena squad; I saw a review of an extremely high-leveled Zeta-Phasma(L)/zeta-Ren/zeta-FOTP/FOO/zeta-FOS squad and it looks like a strong all-purpose arena team, even without all the Zetas. I was wondering if anyone here has run with a similar squad and has any feedback.

Now that I'm in QGJ and getting delicious Heroic Rancor gear, I've got a question:

Where do I actually get enough Mk5 CEC Furnace parts to level any of my arena team to G9? Literally all of my arena team (Wiggs Boba STH Lando) needs one of these things to rank up to G9, and it seems like I'm getting raid drops for G9->G10 upgrades. Should I be buying Mk5 Furnace salvage off guild or other stores?

Or is this more a 'lol welcome to raiding, expect ten raids per dude' RNG hell thing? Only done about three so far.

Unless you want to be completely at the mercy of RNG you should buy them from the guild store, shard shop, and make them your daily item request.

If you are at the top of your arena shard, you might consider not doing as many refreshes daily and spending your crystals on a full furnace from shipments. They are a giant pain to farm up all the parts, and are well worth the 1400 crystals they cost, IMHO.

get a 5th Scoundrel (Probably IG88.) for credit heist/ training droid heist.

once you can complete the last tier of both comfortably, you'll have a lot more credits to decide where you wanna invest your time after that.

Afterwards it looks like you have a decent 4/5 for Empire and Rebel teams, you just missed the Palp event so it'll be a while till you can get him unlocked at 7* but maybe work on Rebels and see if you can get them strong enough to get Palpatine on his next go around.

Goal #1: Boba Fett(L), Lando, STHan, IG88 - Gear/level/star them so you can do credit heist
Goal #2: Wedge(L), Biggs, Lando, STHan, Ackbar - Gear/level/star them so you can get Palpatine
Goal #3: Wedge(L), Biggs, Lando, STHan, Boba Fett - Use these in arena, it is a solid team and you're already working on them for goals 1 and 2

Tip #1: I suggest spending 2 energy refreshes per day (50x2).
Tip #2: Try not to hit too many hard nodes because you need to gear this roster up ASAP
Tip #3: Save any extra crystals. You can never have too many. Use the stockpile to buy Fusion Furnaces(or any other raid piece you need). They cost 1,400 crystals
Tip #4: Save your credits and training droids for these characters. Don't get distracted with people you don't need. You have a limited amount of resources so it's important to focus your time and energy

I don't see a reason to shift the raid times, as DST doesn't affect anyones sleep patterns.

As it stands, I could live with the PM raids being pushed to 7pm Pacific, because I just don't stay up to 11:00pm Eastern very often these days.

I'm sure the Pacific timers would love the morning shifted to 9am.

We're basically loving over the non-US time guys, but I don't know who isn't in the US at this point. Alot of turnover since we set the times.

I'm EU (UK, precisely) but I don't care too much. I know I can contribute to Heroic Tank when we get there and I'm not too worried about missing Rancor as I have Han now, and I can always get my 0-damage in. Normal Tank is hit-or-miss but I'm always able to get my 0-damage in.

Is there a write up about maximizing daily raid tickets?

What time of day does QGJ's reset?

Today is LS and tomorrow will be GW. Does that mean I should hold off doing GW until the reset tonight and do 2 GW runs afterward?

I'm 78 shards away from getting RG to 7* but bought some crystals and could get Shoretrooper unlocked today by buying 8 shards from shipments. Should I pull the trigger?

It's the option that starts on cooldown in the bottom left corner. Light blue circle. After 8 turns you have a % chance to escape based on raid difficulty.

Basically, in order to maximize generating guild tickets and guild currency you need to alternate the days you save up cantina energy and regular energy, and also do at least one refresh of each per day (I do 2x regular and 1x cantina). From a guild perspective, the most important thing you can do is 600 energy per guild reset. This generates raid tickets so that you can do Rancor/AAT, and this comes from a combination of Cantina and normal missions energy. IMO if you aren't doing this, focus on doing this, then try to get guild currency.
Assuming you log in for free energy, you get 120 Cantina, 240 Normal, and an additional 135 + 45 energy just for logging in. That's 540/600 of your daily, which means you just need one refresh to make sure it all happens. This gets more complicated when you consider that you are trying to maximize spending cantina energy on Sunday, light energy on Monday, and dark energy on friday (usually evening, but depends on guild reset time). In order to facilitate this, I don't spend cantina energy on days that I'm spending light/dark to make sure that I get to my 600/600 every single day.
What this means is that you spend cantina energy on Sunday evening/Monday morning, Tuesday evening/Wednesday morning, and Thursday evening/Friday morning. You can then spend a little here and there, but want to save up so that on Sunday evening (or guild reset) you have as close to max cantina energy as possible.
I don't really spend a whole lot of energy on hard missions on Wednesday evenings, because I'm only doing a handful of missions, so I blur the lines on cantina energy a bit there, but otherwise this pattern holds.
Example: I will start Tuesday evening with about 120 cantina energy and 0 normal energy (guild reset at 6:30 -- stupid dst). At 7 and 9, I get free energy, so that's +90. I do one cantina refresh for 120. 12 hours of energy is +120 and +60, so on Wednesday when I wake up and spend energy, I will have spent 390. I will do the once daily cantina refresh for another 120, bringing me to 510 energy. I just need to spend another 90 between 7am and 6:30 pm to meet my 600. 6:30 rolls around, I try to have 100+ normal energy (except it's Wednesday/hard missions so I don't really care, but I still save my refreshes). I spend about 100 + 240 right away, and another 360 in the morning to already max it out.

Question: I'm running Lando(L)/STH/Boba/Wiggs as the speed boost seems to let my Boba shoot first. The rest of my shard seems to have Wedge as lead for this configuration. Personally I run Lando lead in arena since matches don't tend to last long enough for Wedge's lead skill to make a difference. But in GW, if my Sith team can't get me to the last node and I switch to Rebels early, I use Wedge lead for the sustain.

Wedge allows your rebels to heal on damage dealt/kills, and provides an all-around offense up.
