labels like leftist, socialist, liberal, right, etc. might as well be meaningless. you can twist them to whatever you want them to mean and enter pointless semantic debates. terrible politicians use these terms as shields for their terrible policies the only thing that loving matters are the concrete platforms a candidate supports the democratic party is unpopular as gently caress because they have no loving platform and no vision and have hid behind the "left" and "liberal" label while they've been selling the gently caress out the past 8 years. when pressed on what democrats stand for, they won't give you credible concrete platforms they support. they'll just push mealy mouthed platitudes.
