After playing around some in MP and in the single player with different builds, I'm really disappointed with how the adept turned out. Removing warp really fucks the class (spec) over. Adept may have been overpowered in ME3 as I beat the entire game on insanity on my first play through, but not having a primer that can attach to everything really fucks the class over. Pull and singularity require the target to lose their shields/not be armored to actually prime anything for a biotic combo, throw's only use is still for combos, and lance is a lovely warp that doesn't act as a primer, only a detonator. Adept is also going to have a lot of trouble with armor, shockwave can be anti-armor but it has always been a bad ability. RIP space mage.

Seems like Sentinel is basically the way to go now. Biotics just don't have enough tools to compete with Biotics alone, but works well when mixed with tech (for example, Cryo Beam).

Good things so far:
- Characters don't look nearly as bad as in the gifs posted (though I am playing on ultra)
- Dadryder
- The villain made an appearance and didn't monologue or say a single word. This is good.
- Graphics are good. That scene a tthe thing when dadryder is reaching out and datamining it looked great
- Gameplay is good, jetpack changes a lot of dynamics

Bad things so far:
- I'm 3hrs into the game and I haven't banged anyone yet
- I explored an entire optional objective and then accidentally died and the autosave brought me back to wayyyy before so I had to redo everything
- 3hrs in and the only crewmates I've met so far are the two humans. Disturbing lack of alien activity.

From this first day of playing, I've come to the conclusion that this game isn't "the worst"

because i find the circlejerky meme groupthink stuff gross, which tends to happen with popular games. instead of new people coming in to engage about a game they enjoy, it becomes a thread full of the same people shitposting constantly because they think criticism is inherently witty or funny.

But no, instead you're going to champion what's an aggressively mediocre game, especially in 2017's landscape, in Mass Effect: Andromada.

Just a community service message: make ABSOLUTELY sure the mass effect process is not running after you close the game or if it crashes. I ran into the same problem someone else mentioned where this morning I played a bit of multiplayer, then when I got back this afternoon I had a popup message saying I only had 30 minutes of time left. Sure enough the game wasn't showing up on my toolbar, but the process was still running in the task manager.

As far as the game goes, I've been playing on a laptop that doesn't quite meet the minimum requirements and it looks and runs ok. I have everything turned on the lowest settings possible and I rarely get below 35-40 fps (except on some closeup shots of people's faces when it dips into the 20s for some reason). The multiplayer is fun too when it's not insanely laggy. Overall I'll probably wait until I can get some sort of deal on it, but I will eventually buy it. Also I used the custom Sara #1 face (I removed the bright pink makeup though) and I didn't notice as many weird looking animations as I've seen posted, although that could also be due to the ultra low graphics settings and/or the way her hairstyle covers a lot of her forehead.

The RPS review is written by a guy who loved ME3's original ending and is a pretty huge outlier from all the other professional (lmao) ones
