I haven't watched a lot of animes and my tastes are garbage but I've yet to see an ending to an anime that can hype me up more than the ending episodes of Gurren Lagann. Trigger seems to be obnoxiously good at that.

to be fair like 90% of the major staff from gl is at trigger now so it's not a inaccurate statement even if it's not technically true anyway the most hype anime ending is symphogear season 1. second place is turn-a gundam. third place is giant robo.

I think the original script was an original hard sci-fi story all the way through until the end but they decided to start things off more light hearted when they began producing the anime.
