This screen is tiny and utter trash. If I want to appreciate what I am seeing in any way, I need to have the joycons slotted in, holding it close to my face. If I prop this thing up on a table somewhere in a realistic fashion, it's utter trash and lmao @ the thought of playing Skyrim on such a tiny display.

The joysticks on the controllers feel cheap, make awful noises when snapping back, and, generally handle like trash.

There is virtually no space between the bumpers, leaving no space to my rest my index fingers. I have to put them
under the joycons, behind the bumpers.

The "controller" you slot the joycons in feels like a cheaply made chinese knockoff.

I am forced to hold the Switch kinda awkwardly, since the left joystick is really far up, and the right one realy far down. It just does not feel comfortable, and in addition, the thing is quite heavy too.

So yeah. Tiny loving screen, a cheap feeling and an overall lack of comfort makes this a joke, at least to me. 450 bucks for this? Lol.

If we are talking about the display itself, an iPad Mini 2 blows it out of the water at $269. But this isn't a fair argument anyway because the Switch is a gaming console.

Nintendo is always behind the times by about 3-5 years in technology when it comes to mainstream device comparisons. It's expected however, because they aim to pull a 30-35% profit on hardware sales. (1.5-1.7 mark up)

I wasn't all that interested in Dragon Quest Heroes 1&2 since I already have 2 on PS4.
And then I realized now it's possible to play it multiplayer locally as if it were Monster Hunter without any loss in gaming quality (like say playing Smash or Mario Kart on 3DS as opposed to WiiU).

Finally, I'm getting what Switch is all about.

I think they are making a huge mistake and overestimating demand due to scalpers. It would be nice to see the statistics of how many Switch's out of the original shipment batch were bought with the pure intent to mark up and resell. They anticipate 16 million units shipping for their fiscal year from April of this year to next, and without a lot of software, a weak online component in beta, and lack of VC; by July I see a massive price drop (I would even venture to say as low as $199) as scalper demand falls to zero.

I also freely admit I do not think a remastered Mario Kart will sell a lot of units. (Splatoon 2 most likely will though)

You're significantly overestimating the amount of scalper units out there as well.

Lol @ a price cut by July. Come on man, you can't really believe that. Maybe July 2018

I don't like the Switch either but there's no arguing that there is an organic demand for it right now.

The switch's screen is fantastic. You can get higher resolution screens but that would be pretty pointless considering the power and battery life limits of the platform, but by every other metric (contrast levels, color accuracy, lack of ghosting) the screen is top of it's class.

I can understand having trouble with the size though, and I think Zelda's small type sizes look odd at first glance. I did get used to them tho.

On the moon... they don't make Neo Kobe Pizza.

Consoles don't do price cuts so soon unless they're drastically failing like the Xbox One did, so unless Switch catastrophically tanks somehow then I'd expect to see more stuff along the lines of PS4's added value bundles. So you'd have a Switch at the same retail value as it did at launch but I dunno you get a copy of Breath of the Wild or Super Mario Odyssey with it.

I have no idea what the Scalper units were. But doubling their production runs based off initial launch with a good amount (Unknown amount but still a solid amount) going to scalpers with a limited launch line up for the next 9 months, an alpha online service, np apps, and no VC, is setting them up for the same debacle that happened with the Wii U, and the original 3DS. Oversupply will force a drop in pricing as they overestimate demand. (They do this continually)

There is quite literally no way the Switch sells 20 million units in it's first year. They will be lucky to hit 30 million in it's life cycle.
