Please let's not immediately mount a switch defense. Those are all things someone might have trouble with and perfectly valid to mention here in the thread.

But then I also look back at when I bought Morrowind about 4 times back in the day Michaellaneous: Valid points. I have more issues with the lack of service, apps, lack of content, overpriced ports/accessories, and overall quality control as it has been stated.

I wasn't all that interested in Dragon Quest Heroes 1&2 since I already have 2 on PS4. And then I realized now it's possible to play it multiplayer locally as if it were Monster Hunter without any loss in gaming quality (like say playing Smash or Mario Kart on 3DS as opposed to WiiU). Finally, I'm getting what Switch is all about.

The switch's screen is fantastic. You can get higher resolution screens but that would be pretty pointless considering the power and battery life limits of the platform, but by every other metric (contrast levels, color accuracy, lack of ghosting) the screen is top of it's class. I can understand having trouble with the size though, and I think Zelda's small type sizes look odd at first glance. I did get used to them tho.

Consoles don't do price cuts so soon unless they're drastically failing like the Xbox One did, so unless Switch catastrophically tanks somehow then I'd expect to see more stuff along the lines of PS4's added value bundles. So you'd have a Switch at the same retail value as it did at launch but I dunno you get a copy of Breath of the Wild or Super Mario Odyssey with it.

Auron posted:You're significantly overestimating the amount of scalper units out there as well. I have no idea what the Scalper units were. But doubling their production runs based off initial launch with a good amount (Unknown amount but still a solid amount) going to scalpers with a limited launch line up for the next 9 months, an alpha online service, np apps, and no VC, is setting them up for the same debacle that happened with the Wii U, and the original 3DS. Oversupply will force a drop in pricing as they overestimate demand. (They do this continually) There is quite literally no way the Switch sells 20 million units in it's first year. They will be lucky to hit 30 million in it's life cycle.
