It's (sadly) nothing new. The rich in this country were able to frame the Baltimore Railroard strikers are "violent thugs", "criminals" via the newspapers they had in their back pocket. (Glenn Beck literally parroted this propaganda when trying to educate people on the "dangers" of unions too.  ) It keeps happening until the country reaches a breaking point and everyone kinda collectively goes "ENOUGH" then they attempt to corral these assholes away from loving people over. The quote that keeps going in my mind is something about FDR. "The last time some crazy leftist/socialist guy got elected? They had to create term limits because people liked him and his ideas that much".
