My plans for next weekend: +  With a teensy inside that terminates in a Hirose 4-pin locking connector, and a Hirose-USB cord. I need to pick up some paracord or something to sleeve the cord, though. I'm also going to click-mod the orange ALPS switches. I have a damped white AEKII coming too, and I'm planning to remove the dampers and install the same connector/adapter.

in other keycap news, maxkey is shaping up to be an interesting alternative to signature plastics sculpted sa keys:   maxkeys on the left, sp on the right couple kerning issues, no meta key, however they're proper sa doubleshots fairly cheap if you can figure out taobao: https://world.taobao.com/item/545705729456.htm#detail

doubleshot pbt keys don't really exist though can't really speak for the quality of these specific caps, but ds abs is thicker than bargain bin keyboard abs, you you end up with nice stiff keys. doesn't solve the shine issues, but you can always resurface them if it bugs you
