The reason why the op wasn't there and the ed didn't have the character silhouettes was because they were Kaban's memories. The ending didn't even have the PP, just a ruined park with rain clouds coming in. I can't believe a cheaply made me cry.

If that is the case, my guess is that in the next episode Kaban will either regain all of her old memories and/or will try making new memories with Serval and the rest. The ED will likely reflect this by having replacing the abandoned park pictures with ones of open parks with Friends added to them.

Been discussing the latest episode with some buddies and we came up with what we think is a solid prediction for what will happen in the next one. Serval will wake up and find Kaban's hat in one of the Cerulean's footprints, quickly realizing that Kaban sacrificed herself to save her. After taking a moment to grieve she'll quickly get back up and rush to the Hunters to tell them to stop the plan. Serval will want to fight the Cerulean rather than drown it since there may still be a chance to save Kaban. The Hunters will likely call her crazy for suggesting such a thing, since it may make Kaban's sacrifice be in vain. Several Friends that Kaban and Serval meet during their travels will begin to show up, probably being drawn by the commotion caused by the Cerulean and hearing from Raccon and Fennec that Kaban was helping to stop it. With their numbers significantly bolstered, guided by the need to save both their park and their friend, the Friends all attack the Cerulean at once. While it seems to work at first the Cerulean soon starts to overpower them, not helped by the fact that the Friends are all attacking wildly with no coordinated plan. Just when things start to seem hopeless, Mirai shows up in the flesh and starts coordinating the Friends in their attack. Together they finally destroy the Cerulean (with the final blow likely delivered by Serval) and Kaban is rescued. After awakening, Kaban meets Mirai and it's revealed that the two are actually related in some way. The revelation causes all of Kaban's memories to return. It's also revealed that Serval is the same Serval that worked with Mirai long ago, and Serval gets her memories back too. With the truth finally revealed, Mirai and Kaban get set to leave Japari Park. As they have a tearful goodbye Kaban makes a promise to Serval that she will look into a way to convince humanity to reopen Japari Park. Cut to the future where that comes true, with an older Kaban working as a park guide with Serval as her assistant.

Well this show has gotten me emotional; they didn't quite nail "Shadows of the Colossus" in terms of animation quality until the end for some bizarre reason. Oh, and another thing is that the Kemono BRs are actually being sold as books instead of anime BRs, apparently. Hence why it's classified under Book and not Blu-ray in CD Japan. That's why it's "Kemono Friends Official Guide Book 1 w/ Blu-ray Disc" instead of the other way around. This also apparently means the publisher doesn't have to go through a distributor for BRs and the like. Kadokawa, the company handling the distribution, is a publisher, which means that they don't need another company to make the guidebook, and experience in the field lets them make a book with much more content than is usual. http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/de...0%24pagecnt%3D1 AmiAmi also lists Kemono Friends as a book product.
