Got two questions from about 75% through route C about a certain boss.

The whole thing with the big brother and little brother machines with the buckets, how come there were so many of the latter? Did it multiply somehow? Last, after you fight them as A2, can you just walk away? The game gives you control after you beat them but before the scene where you kill them but I've never tried walking away.

If you look at the intel for the boss (Auguste), you'll learn that there is actually a huge cult of "little brothers" following their "big brother".

HOLY poo poo
I just realized the weapon description on the Emil Head weapons takes place 1000 years after the events of the game and pretty explicitly mentions meeting 2B/A2. So this basically confirms Ending E as canon and (maybe?) that the Emil boss fights happened some time afterwards? Also, it seems like new Emil's are still getting made, so the series still has its mascot.

They started using him as a logo as early as the 2011 tribute album though. And then his head was Drakengard 3 DLC

This is good.

Completely matching the canon, 9S voice actor is good at hacking, while 2B's is struggling a bit more with the mechanics.

100% agree, its my biggest complaint about the game. 2B gets hours of development then dropped before its concluded, while A2 wraps up the ending with no development at all.

Like was 2Bs death suppose to be some kind of shocking twist about the horrors of war? Yeah ok I get it, but there is a time and place for that kind of twist and this was not it because you just replaced your co-lead with someone who is 90% the same anyway near the end of the story. Pointless and stupid because you could have had 2B do all the things A2 did with the slightest of story tweaks, even fighting 9S.

Edit:It could have been something as simple as A2 giving 2B her body to avoid the corruption since she had nothing left to live for and 9S still would have went crazy thinking A2 killed her not realised A2 is now 2B

Yeah i know this is a few pages back, but I thought the whole 2b death segment was bullshit. Her reaction to getting infected? This is bullshit. The actual process the player has to go through to get to the commercial district? That be some bullshit. Her death and replacement by an underdeveloped character? Man that be some real bullshit.

On a more serious note, is there a translation of the stage play somewhere?

So here's a big spoilerriffic question: For PS4 players, do you need PS+ to find other players' bodies and receive help from them during the final credits? I've seen someone say that they tried it without being online at all,

No ps+ needed for any of that

Two super weird glitches today:

first when saving the family squabbles kid, when you first find him a group of enemies pops out before you actually talk to him. They would NOT stop spawning. Just dozens and dozens until the kid died, and still kept coming.

Then for lost girl, I escorted her out of the desert but now the quest marker is in an unaccessible area kind of near the ravine.

huh.

A part of me is actually really hoping someone rips the imprompto voicelines from kyles stream and makes a bootleg VO mod for all the unvoiced lines/characters. And yes, i know that's both probably technically impossible and also not cool without paying the actual VAs a crapload of money for their work. But man, he loving nailed the Weird-talking Machine so goddamn well :allears:

I thought it was bullshit until i noticed that the infection% is a) insanely forgivingly slow and more important b) scripted to jump up once you hit specific triggers. That's kind of when i knew poo poo was gonna go bad. What i actually expected was that youd also lose all chips on her corpse or something because yoko taro.

It gets joked about enough that I think if someone put the effort in to just ripping the lines from the stream they might be okay with it? The stream was pretty fun though and I'm going to have to watch the rest of them if I can. A few of my comments got read aloud.

I legit ran out the timer on the first try. I went into the wrong direction first, over the sunken buildings, and then had to make my way back with constant limping interruptions at 15% infection over the jump-and-dash segments between skyscapers in the water. I left the coast at 30%+ infection. I then got punched into the ravine, and waited another like 10% or so for the limping to go away so i could finally start climbing the ladder back up. Then had to take the veeery long way around, past the Near Factory save point and the desert entrance. Didn't know there were these jump triggers until the second time i attempted that sequence. The whole thing took like 10 minutes.

While it is forgiving from a timelimit perspective, mechanics wise it isnt. Randomly losing the ability to dodge is the pits.

I dunno, it felt pretty regular and predictable to me? I even took a route that required a jump-dash-double jump simply by waiting until one of stuns was over - this was on hard with a pretty defensive chip layout though. I guess the segment overstayed its welcome/dramatic effect if you decided to pay a visit to Jackass or the alien ship or something.

The game provides you with a huge number of opportunities to mentally map the City Ruins by the time you get to the infection section. I died once because I was an idiot and tried running straight through the center, and then carefully thought about it and took the ramp just to the left of the sewers entrance. There's only a few bullet-shooting enemies (whose attacks are still easily avoided) who you can quickly outrun once the temporary command lock (which happens on a predictable timer) goes away, and then a small leap over a ridge before it's completely smooth sailing to the Commercial Center.

No matter what settings I put it at, no matter what I do, despite having a 1060 which is a pretty good hard, it just hitches randomly for upwards of half a second all the drat time. Doesn't matter if the screen is completely packed or not, it'll just hitch when i hit a dude for some reason sometimes or when I walk through an area. I hate it so much, I wish I got it for my ps4.
