Hey there, cat thread. Been busy with work and all grades of bullshit, but the important thing is that there's a new cat.
I wound up poking at a rescue and came home with a kitten that needs patience (so much patience) and general familiarization with being handled. He's very shy, a bit over six months old, and has a questionable past that seems to possibly involve being rescued from a feral colony or hoarder or who the hell knows what.
He's gotten to where he'll curl up on us, but getting him used to being picked up and handled is a bit of a work in progress... But given that he's been here just a couple of days, well, so good so far.
Mercredi accepts him with casual indifference aside from play time and headbutts on the sly. She's actually a bit affectionate towards him when she thinks you aren't looking.
Magique, though, is a loving shitlord who spends her afternoons snarling and hissing at him unless they're equally motivated to plead for food.
This is basically the opposite of what we expected to happen.

We're calling him Francois due to Frenchy formatting and injokes.
Working on getting more/better pics but it's tricky right now.
