Did...Wonder Woman just say "Bio-Mecha-Tronic?"

I mean I looked it up and apparently it's a word, but is "cyborg" under copyright or something? Why use such an aggressively stupid sounding term?

Also, can someone please tell Warner Bros. that they should spend less money on classic rock songs and maybe hire a Gaffer and some Lighting Techs? Maybe rent a couple of LED panels? Why does everything have to be so dark?

Because everything needs to be modernized into crap. It's also probably way cheaper than paying for the original.

It looks like Carl Drago's probably the only watchable part of it and he might make it worth catching like 50 minutes of it on HBO when I'm stoned or something. I literally lol'd when Ben Affleck was in the batmobile trying to look all grim and sound all tough. It was hilarious when Christian Bale did it and it's even more hilarious now, because, come on, it's loving Ben Affleck.

I realize probably none of you care about this so it won't hurt my feelings if you skip it, but I really do actually appreciate that WW's makeup is fairly understated and reasonable. Makeup and hairstyles that makes no sense in the context of the character/time period/plot/scene is a major movie pet peeve of mine. Like, why would this Amazon warrior spend 2 hours on her hair and makeup everyday? Does she do porn as a side gig? Where did this 11th century peasant get foundation and mascara? How does this woman's makeup and hair look so perfect when she just woke up (or worse, when she just got out of the shower)? What possible logical reason could there be for a Vulcan to paint her face up on a daily basis? While keeping that terrible haircut??

I get that you always need some makeup on film but it needs to be appropriate. The makeup on the peasant girl for instance needs to be as natural looking as possible. It should look like she's wearing none at all to the untrained eye. I'm frequently pulled out of movies by this but I think it's often a case of "you probably didn't notice...but your brain did" for most people. Imagine how jarring it would be though if on Mad Men they had been wearing 80's makeup - all bright loud colors, Joan looking like Cyndi Lauper. That's how I feel when I'm watching most movies.

All of this applies to costumes as well but inappropriate costumes aren't as prevalent as inappropriate hair and makeup.

That kind of ties into the earlier topic about how unsexualized Wonder Woman is in the DCCU, compared to the men. I think part of that is that the men in superhero movies tend to have amazing bodies, and the women not so much. Jason Momoa looks like the cover of a romance novel. Gal Gadot has a beautiful face, but she's so skinny that her sexy bikini scene in Fast Five was kinda silly.

The only thing that trailer made me think was, "Man, Mamoa should have been cast as Lobo."

Also, Batman should have died in BvS and this movie would be about Dick Grayson inheriting the Batman role and having an excuse to be the Batman that the League actually likes to hang around with and is a pretty nice guy.

You think they even gave the guy who plays the Flash on the CW an audition or was it just "nooooope TV actor gently caress off."

It would be cool if that stuff was period accurate as well but I realize that's asking a lot as no one wants to look at hairy legs and armpits on a woman. Also, it's not important. Makeup/hair/costumes are more obvious and noticeable.

This makes sense. It is very bad CGI. I was questioning if this was an official trailer for a movie or some kind of "proof of concept" reel.

I'm really not joking, I paused the video and checked the title again when I saw Cyborg for the first time.

I was thinking that these movies are verging on being animated features at this point, with half the poo poo on the screen at most points being essentially things drawn and animated with a computer.
