I didn't think it was a super popular song, but it really sucked when they played literally every other song off of In Rainbows except my favorite one.

Standing at Roundhouse was annoying. My friend was travelling into London after work so we couldn't get there earlier and I didn't want to be a dick and push to the front of the crowd (the venue was tiny and I guessed everyone there was a fan) but everyone around us stood motionless for every song...except the girl waving her phone around Facebook live streaming to a grand total of 2 people. I wanted to be in the crowd dancing around to Ful Stop

I both hate and love AXS's system for tickets. Got tickets for the Santa Barbara show out of pure stubbornness. They must've had a bunch of bots or something because all the tickets were held when I got through, but eventually something popped up when I kept hitting "Search Tickets". My only other bucket list band after this will be The Shins (who coincidentally also had a tiny tour that sold out in seconds in the general sale).

Don't worry if you didn't get tickets yet. They're still available on Stubhub.

Yeah, I figure the day I buy seats for a rock show is the day I give up on life When I saw Nick Cave last week I was close enough to touch him when he leaned into the crowd. I felt sorry for the people on seats a mile away from the stage

The charge the same amount for every seat at most venues, right? No $500 front row seats? $80 + fees is on the reasonable side these days for big shows, especially for good seats.

Everyone sounds like they're around the same $80-95 dollar range, yeah. I got some nosebleed seats, but with most arenas, you'll be able to hear fine no matter where you are, and with huge monitors all over the place, you'll still be able to see well enough. Being near the back is nice too when you're trying to get out at the end of the show and get to your car.

Do they really check for CC verification when you go to the show? So if you buy tickets from someone you actually have to bring them with you when you get in so they can show their credit card?

This is UK venues so YMMV but for one gig I almost wasn't allowed entry because my card was stolen and has to get a replacement so the dates were different. The second gig the security matched my card surname against my driving license.

The whole reason they do the CC verification is so you can't sell the tickets - they only want people who are actually going to attend to buy tickets. The war against scalpers is serious business. (Source: I work in the ticketing industry and also have many stories regarding the fight against scalping)

Do venues check anything beyond matching the name? I bought tickets using a now expired card that I had to block later because its replacement didn't arrive. The bank switched me to a new card with a new number, but I still have my old expired one.

So how do we feel about the boys booking a gig in Tel Aviv? Personally cautiously hopeful that they'll offer a well thought out explanation. But I'm also bracing myself for another "Wayne Coyne responds to activist requests not to wear a Native American headdress by putting one on a dog" type of moment.

The movement itself is widespread, I meant more with regards to musicians specifically. I don't really keep up with current events in music or anything really so as far as I knew it was basically Roger Waters and everybody he'd managed to send a letter to. My info's probably a few years out of date though.

Has anyone heard about venues selling new tickets day of? I read a story online about last year's LA show where they sold some tix day of, with people waiting in line, going to the ticket window and buying tickets day of. I'm flying to Portland next week for vacation and my brother and I are going to try this and also try to buy tickets from someone that may be going in themselves but may have extras. I really want to go but I don't want to be shafted with worthless resale tickets where they stop me at the door. I've called some ticket vendors and they guarantee entry but I've read numerous horror stories online as well. I've got tickets already for the New Pornographers and Coheed that week, but Radiohead is the show I really want to go to. Any advice is appreciated.

Too many slow jams. I liked all of the songs in a vacuum, but it was too many dreary songs in a row without enough rocking out songs to break them up. Also the sound was pretty bad for a lot of songs and I wasn't a fan of violin-less Burn the Witch. Otherwise, good show. They've still never played Jigsaw in Miami
