They would be better if they used numbers instead of glyphs, there's a disconnect where you can't just think "Oh, that one's already there", because you're less familiar with the symbols. Basically, I just want real sudoku.

It wouldn't be a mass effect game if there wasn't krogan, there wasn't aliens to gently caress, and there wasn't a silly hacking minigame.

How the gently caress designed that endless slog of a fight at the end? Also who designed the loving autosave system? I hope both people never, ever work in the games industry again. Cool. I finally get through that fight and then the video sequence at the end just freezes. Jesus this game is such a piece of poo poo, everyone involved should be ashamed. I liked ME3 but I probably wouldn't have liked it so much if I hadn't spent two other games getting invested in the characters. That's mostly why I would say it's the better game. I'd go 3/5 for Andromeda, but it could've been 4/5 if they'd given the crew more evolving dialogue. It's like they blow their load the first time you talk to them and then just have a couple new sentences to say every so often after that. I can see the logic behind 2/5 but I don't agree with giving a failing grade to a game that accomplished the basic task of keeping me entertained for a couple weeks.

I LOVE THIS GAME! Easily a 4 out of 5. It's unfortunate that you cannot recognize a good game anymore, possibly you are burnt out on games in general? Happens. Mostly i feel sorry for you that you are unable to enjoy such an amazing experience, it must suck. You're a big ME fan I've read. Me too, i played through the trilogy countless times, read all 4 novels, yes even the one Drew didn't write. I've already spent more time on my first MEA run (and not done yet mind you) than it would take me to play through the entire trilogy. I couldn't be more thankful for such a fully fleshed out experience, and this is only the start!!! But lets face it even though the trilogy and novels was as incredible as it was, Andromeda is soooo much better in every conceivable way. I'm doubt i'll every go back and play them again, tbh i can't, this is just so much better. It's too bad you're going to miss out on this epic journey. Maybe you need a break? Anyway coming from a gamer who isn't burnt out, my only advice to everyone is, don't be schmuck and miss this run, drat!

I've been reading the new one in bits and pieces, and it's a hell of a lot better than any of the previous tie in novels by far. Drew Karpyshyn's first one was passable as a junk food read but still mostly terribly written; this is actual decent genre fiction and does a good job in fleshing out the uprising stuff and making it seem less stupid than it comes across in the game.

Alright, this time the game didn't crash after the last fight! Finished the game after ~45 hours. I'm mostly happy with the ending and the long sequence leading up to it (except that really long fight at the very end, ugh). What happens if you haven't rescued the other arcs/pathfinders? It looked like they played a big role in the fight on Meridian, is there a different outcome if they are not around to help you?

I got it for free with some Kindle credit and read it all on a long train journey. Better written than all the previous books and the game, by some margin. Reading it actually makes the game worse, because you can see what it could have been if there'd been some competent writers on the team. Disclaimer: I've not yet finished the game. I've found myself enjoying the game on the whole, but there's one minor point that drives me right up the wall every time it comes up. Every time somebody talks about the Angarans, the exact phrase 'free with their emotions' is used. Outside of Jaal himself, sometimes, that almost never seems actually show itself in how characters act. But everyone feels the need to weigh in on it using that same exact wording, including the Angarans themselves when if that were actually the case they would presumably consider themselves to be normal and milky way races to be unreadable, stoic weirdos.
