I was out for a walk with my sister today and both these cats ran up to us for pets. No shame. Orange guy yelled at us the whole time, rude. This is Juniper. Excellent catte name I approve. Caedus has a new favorite as of 04:27 on Apr 2, 2017 |

Not like flying into it, but gently knocking and then looking around inside my room and knocking again. It didn't seem scared at all. I hope I get to meet my new birb friend outside.

It might be a young one new to this whole glass thing. I had youngish sparrow on my window sill a few days ago scratching and knocking at the glass, confused about the invisible wall.

It was pretty big, definitely couldn't have been too young. It was also was really calm and not bothered at all by me walking up to the window. There's a house down the road from me that runs an animal sanctuary for injured animals from their yard, I'm thinking it might have gotten used to humans there.

Some birds are just fascinated by windows. Cardinals, wrens, and titmice regularly land on my windowsill and knock on the glass a bit before flying off.

Hey everyone! Meet Simi! Simi came to our household from a Samoyed rescue. He was found wandering the streets, eating rabbits and stealing food to survive. No tags. No chip. It's thought that he was from a neglectful home tied up in a yard all day and just made a run for it one day. And that's all the rescue was able to guess at. When we got him about 2 months ago he was very shy. If you said anything to him or walked by him, he would flop down and show his belly. He was quiet, extremely polite and very...detached. He knew no commands in english or spanish. He's extremely gentle, if you feed him from your hand you can feel him gently and delicately nibble until he's absolutely sure he doesn't have any of your hand before he plucks the food up. I dont think I saw him wag his tail at all for the first week we had him. Well in two months we've been pampering the poo poo out of him. He's got his own sofa in the house, which he has very much claimed as his own and sleeps on every night. He has accrued a menagerie of toys. He's a bit of a hoarder, if you leave anything on the floor like some laundry or a foam roller he'll delicately pluck it from the floor and take it to the living room to join the collection. Going along with feeding him out of your hand, he is very delicate with his toys (or any other items that may fall into his hoarding domain), he never chews but just holds them in his mouth and hangs out, drooling all over them. He truly comes alive when running, luckily he gets 3-5 miles every other day or so from the four of us here. He solicits cuddles and pets from us now and the cheeky little guy has even started giving us the sad face while we're a the dinner table. But most of all everyday he wags more and more, and that's all I could hope for.

Not a picture, (and I'm sorry for that), but I just want to say that this thread is my go to for when any of my year 3 students come into my office during lunch time, or when I don't have class. You cannot imagine the squeals as I scroll past picture and picture of capybaras and kittens and puppies etc. to amuse them and do the important work of keeping me from planning lessons or anything boring like that. So I thank you all.
