I've now seen the video, and it's more obvious than I thought it would be. It looks like she moves it further horizontally along the surface than vertically off the surface. Nobody would have noticed if it was a pick-up-and-clean situation, but since the ball barely leaves the ground it magnifies the horizontal movement. I still don't approve of fan snitching. If a playing partner or official doesn't notice during the round, that should be the end of it. The scorecard penalty is also disproportionate when combined with fan snitching. It's fine if it's contemporaneous with the round since it encourages self-reporting.

There was probably a crater or booger there that she didn't feel like wasting even more time fixing, so she went around it......it was no big deal and why golf is dumb. Just last week I played a course where part of the green was hosed up from Feb flooding and it wasn't marked off at all by the course so for our tourney we said "gently caress it move your ball out of there no penalty". Honma probably had a team of 50 goons holed up somewhere watching private Ultra HD feeds and "called" it in.

I had a loving great round today at forest hills in Augusta. We were like 2 miles from Augusta, prob the closest we'll ever get to playing there lol Amazing course, awesome conditions, they just had a college championship there so the greens were running suuuuper fast but were in such great shape it didn't matter. Such a different course than anything in Florida.   I lipped out an eagle on 9 where I hit 3 wood/5 iron to about 10 feet. Just killing my 3 wood again, only used my driver twice and put it to within a foot from 125 on 13. All in all an awesome day/round and hopefully this weather doesn't get too bad for tomorrow.

mattfl went to the merchandise tent first and I waited until after walking the back 9. Well, just as I was about to finish, the course closed due to thunderstorms. They wouldn't let us use the merchandise shop or even the bathrooms. Waiting in my car in the parking lot now. Hopefully we get a window of no rain so I can run back for the merch.

Not to be a safety goober or anything but the weather service is now forecasting a possibly large tornado outbreak this afternoon/evening centered on Augusta and surrounding parts of GA/SC. So if it gets stormy don't try to ride that poo poo out in your car or something.

We got back into the course around 1 and 15 minutes later they shut it down for the day. Now we are in parking lot hell not moving at all! Josh Lyman sorry it was a lovely day but I hope you guys enjoyed your short time on the course. I know we did.
