I think I am going to accept any translation wonkiness as part of the charm of the thing. Like, if it turns into that wall of signs from Hong Kong someone posted earlier, that's one thing. Weirdly enough it seems most of the scanlations-level stuff is in the early game, so it makes a bad first impression and then gets better translated as it goes on. It'd be nice if they patched it, but I don't know if Atlus is the kinda company that does that kinda thing.

Been playing Andromeda. I can get past the bad animations. But god drat some characters have some of the worst voice acting I've heard in a long time. And even if they weren't bad, the removal of whatever filters they used before means all the aliens sound exactly like humans now.

To think a forum would appear as such. ^ and? Also, I googled "Glascoigne" and when I got a hit for a video of the fighting "Glascoigne" I stupidly thought that meant it was correct. I don't ever read boss names above health bars. I'm busy fighting them.

I also didn't notice any awkwardness despite being a few hours in because the voice acting is pretty drat strong I'm really enjoying going between playing the game and sitting back, relaxing as dialogue or scenes unfold it's almost like *gasp* I'm watching an anime E: also anime has hilariously cringey dialogue like, all the time so I don't really get the e-reactions to these largely unoffensive examples

The problem with translating Japanese nerd poo poo is that even if you do a good job, a subset will flip out and edit your work to make it "faithfully" dry and stilted e: well that and getting paid dirt lol
