AusGoons Looks like ThreeD6 is having a huge tournament the 5th and 6th of June. They are only dropping hints, but they have said they have a major sponsor and the major prize is going to be "quite massive" and bigger than anything they have had before plus lots of other prizes They seem to be trying to making a gently caress you aussies can have an open tournament. Also they are going to be streaming 2 games per round. Which is good since maybe the US X-wing streamers will finally learn how to do a good stream. I'm so going.

I really only have the one but I'm looking at possible designs for minimalist anime on some ships. The nice thing about minimalism is that you can make simple templates for it and then go into full blown art nouveau if you want by adding texture.

I've been flying that Phantom Annoyance list that was posted a few pages back and I even took it to a tournament. I went 1-2 unfortunately but that's because I couldn't for the life of me avoid obstacles or figure a way to fight against The Ghost. Still a fun list and I think I'm going to stick with it because TIE Phantoms are fun and I like seeing what my opponents are planning before I decloak or ailerons.

I did. I ended up with Zuckuss instead in my FennZuckMan list. There's literally nothing that Kath does that Asajj doesn't do better.

After I destroyed a Rey and Poe list early on in that tournament I mentioned, I ate poo poo in the last game against a goddamn Serissu Hvy Syck swarm. I blame that loss mostly on my poor maneuvering and blanking out on a defensive roll late in the game. Before that match I got tabled by a TLT Ghost w/Phantom and Biggs list that I had absolutely no idea what to do against. I really like it, it's a lot of fun to play and when you posted it I thought it was an ingenious use of Intel Agent.

I tried Whisper with the shuttle last week and it is fun. I didn't do too well with it, but Whisper is so hard to pin down with coordinate and decloaks. I ran Countdown as the third ship and probably lost because I was having too much fun repositioning everything.

I've decided to run at least one janky, gimmicky list every week for the near future. The kind of list you fly after saying "hold my beer." I really wanted to fly an A-Wing Snap Shot variant this week, but couldn't come up with enough As. I went with "Snap Sevens" as suggested by some guy on Reddit instead. https://geordanr.github.io/xwing/?f...n=Snap%20Sevens I really enjoyed flying this list. It's not tournament-level but it is ton of fun to fly. Snap shot completely controlled this game. Positioning for both players as influenced heavily by the want to use Snap Shot while not taking Snap Shots. Also, Operations Specialist (which existed on both sides) more than earned its keep. The maneuvering phase is my favorite part of X-Wing, so this was one of the most fun games I've played in a long time. It's not a competitive list, but I'd have a lot of fun losing with it at a tournament.
