I 'd just like a mod that made the maps 3x size. And a built in starting dudes editor.

I could get behind the latter at least, but for me the maps are sometimes too big as it is, especially with the default move speed. Maybe if you sped up by default when you get the cart on top of increasing inventory space.

What I would like is, if settlements can be destroyed, settlements should be able to grow. I have spent so much time in the town of Goldhoft making them safe and fat and secure that they are practically the capital of their faction, but it's still just a dinky mining town in all appearances. And I have walked between the town of Goldhoft and Halaborg so many times that there should be a road there. It would make some of your investment in an area feel more impactful--you're not just preserving these border towns or something, you're growing them. And it would give you the opportunity to have more contract types like a contract to escort or protect settlers moving into a previously unsettled part of the map. They have forest tiles temporarily disappear when a battle takes place, so they could have them permanently removed by placing a village somewhere. "The board has changed" could come to mean more than just cities changing hands between the noble houses.

actually realpost, what I'd like to see:

1) Dungeon and other interior combat maps. City streets?

2) map editor and bro editor

3) seasonal changes and a calendar of seasonal events, complete with random start time in the year

Definitely want city streets. Their absence is conspicuous when sieging major cities.

You can also use a hex editor to clone your gear by studious use of naked saves and clothed saves. It'll involve some precise cut/pasting, but at the end of the day you can deck everyone out in the Emperor's Armor for a full squad of Glitter Boys. You could also all be Davkuls.

That is of course extremely ill-advised. A better use might be cloning the Fangshire helm (if you bought the supporter edition or whatever it's called) for an interesting take on the early game. If I ever buy that DLC I might start an Expert run, give everyone Fangshires, and go maximum night raider to get past the crazy bandit curve in early expert.

Where are you seeing their armor stored? It seems like it's in multiple locations, but I could just be confused.

The armor? There's apparently a Black Monolith on every map. There's nearly 50 Ancient Legionary/Honor Guard/Priests backed up by a posse of Necrosavants. If you win you get the armor. There's a helmet which I have no idea how you're supposed to get. Random?

Only thing that feels sort of unfinished to me right now is your reputation as a whole, on a 220 day game where I've pretty consistently chosen the "good" options for lack of better work, I'm still at neutral and getting the occasional "kill these peasants and leave none alive" contract offers which I generally refuse. I haven't gotten a good negative reputation campaign really going, but is there at all any noticable effects to it for any of you guys yet?

I have taken jobs to burn villages and killed caravans and still have a Neutral reputation. I have no idea what makes it fluctuate up or down.

It's most likely your reputation for how good you are at contracts. If you fail a lot of them, you get a poo poo one, if you toss 900 heads at contract issuers during the patrols you probably get a better one.

My last campaign I had a 'dastard' character that entered every battle at wavering. I retitled him 'The Coward' (Willmund the Coward, i think). He was one of my best bow guys since he had 3* ranged attack, and i devoted my bannerman's first turn to rallying to pull him out of wavering (as it is a -10% skill malus). Dude was one of my first recruits, and survived the entire campaign, getting a good number of kills from typically sniping enemy archers. I kept hoping for an event to cure him of that dastard trait, since i'd seen it before, but alas, he survived his entire dastardly lead life, being useful.

My retirement screen didn't do say anything really amusing beyond the two wildmans i had becoming novelties, both pets for nobles.

It's not. I had my company's reputation go down to 'Notorious' and then 'Merciless' after a couple of caravan escort betrayals and a peasant murdering contract.

I think the tooltip talks about showing mercy or killing peasants, so it seems like it's a morality score

Live by the pun - Die by the pun

I would pay cold hard cash for a pre-battle deployment feature

And my wild dream is to have a scenario editor that allows you to chain battles into a custom mini campaign. Kinda like the Fire Emblem games I guess except without all the talking and management because such features would probably go beyond the scope. The fact that there are tutorial scenarios in the game means that it's at least possible to do something like that

I'm surprised how people seem to use what I would consider fairly light armour, I get all my front liners in coats of plate / scales ASAP and I probably wouldn't use that unique unless I had someone who was particularly hurting for fatigue.

I've got fairly well used to running with only 60-70 fatigue (I frequently now have shield brothers with only 50 max, I just make sure they're using swords) and armour just seems like the best way to keep your guys alive and healthy.

I also kind of like how utilitarian the high end non-unique armours look, I enjoy how your band goes from being this ragtag assortment of individuals into a homogenous group of soldiers all wearing the same or similar armours. Then you ruin it by getting all this cool swanky looking poo poo :v:
