The history of Sarin, like most of the NAZI weapons programs, is still under debate. But It was developed by accident when they were trying to create a new pesticide. Someone in the military realized that it would be effective as poo poo as a nerve agent and ordered it produced it weapons level quantities. Then, rumor has it, either Hitler himself or by proxy told whoever the gently caress was in charge that they would under no circumstances use it. Ever. But it was created by the NAZIs and someone important in the chain vetoed its use because it was that bad. When I drown in a lake it wasn't painful. But that could have been the hypothermia. Its more the terror of knowing you are drowning that fucks you up. You panic as you can't breathe, but if you're super hosed and realize it after struggling, you'll accept your fate and pass out before dying. So far everything is turning up the 95 Tokyo Subway attack.
