This is a super-specific question, but: what are the GW boxed-set games from the last, say, five years or so? Including both starter sets and the various non-starter games that have unique models and whatnot. The reason I'm asking is because the individual mono-pose models tend to end up on eBay for really cheap and they make for decent inexpensive HQ choices, or at the very least, squad leaders.

Assassinorum: Execution Force (OOP) Deathwatch: Overkill Betrayal at Calith Lost Patrol Silver Tower Stormcloud Attack Renegade (OOP) Gorechosen Burning of Prospero Shadows Over Hammerhall Most of these have had their unique models reboxed, or were made up of existing stuff. Only things I can think of exclusive to the boxed games now are the named characters from Burning and the Genestealer troops from Overkill. There's been two versions of Dark Vengence, 6th ed version had a unique DA Chaplain, current one just has that Aspiring Champion jobber. There's also that Battle for Vendros thing that has the old Black Reach kits.

So I have been posting some pictures of my Ynnari army here and there, if anyone is interested we have another video battle report up with them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uplDXGeamYQ I am still figuring out how strong all these things are. D-Cannons are a pretty big no no I discovered, they pretty much melt anything that comes in range of them, going to try vibro cannons next I think. 3 scatter lasers jetbikes seems ok, any more and things start getting out of control. Harlequins still seem pretty bad even with soul burst but much more playable than they were. Shadowseer's veil of tears is really good though and might make them better than spiritseers despite being more expensive and having a worse save. Has anyone ever run multiple fire prisms in a unit? Is the special rule they get ever useful?

You'll almost never use it since multiple shots is more reliable than putting all your eggs in one basket, but it does come in handy if one of the crews is shaken or stunned. They'll probably miss so I prefer to have them contribute that way.

Kind of a long shot here, but does anyone have either an Executioner Class Eldar Ghost Warrior or an Assassin Class Eldar Ghost Warrior buried somewhere in their collection that they would be interested in selling? My preference is the Executioner, but I am interested in either.

I just noticed something while browsing the FW site. A single Custode biker costs £33. The bundle of three costs £90. D-did GW actually offer a discount there? Is the web-store team okay? Baby-steps, but maybe they're starting to realise bundles should be offering the customers a better deal rather than a few saved clicks?

But not sure if 3 will ever reasonably make it to the table. Part of me was thinking if there were three in a squad it would be worth casting guide on them, but that's a lot of points.

They're talking about a web bundle of "we'll sell you more of these for cheaper." I guess forge world does that sometimes but when the GW proper site does web bundles it's just "we saved you clicks!" and is the full retail cost of each part of the bundle.

Yeah Forgeworld's been doing that at least as long as they've been making old marks of Space Marine armor. The three Rhino bundle saves a few dollars and I got my Heresy Ultras started with an old Mk III bundle that saved some money too, and that was like 3 years ago.

So looking at the Necron rules for Shadow War, why would you pay the 5 extra points for Tesla over Gauss? Is the sustain dice really worth more than an armor modifier and rerolls to wound?

I think Ork Kill Teams in Shadow War: Armageddon need to go big or go home. big shootas are real nice (heh) but giving up two or three Boyz to get one is just too painful for the starting roster. i'd pick one up with a cache when you feel the need, but otherwise the go-to 100 point buy is a slugga boy and a naked yoof, until you hit the fighter cap. but you won't do that every time, they need upgrades and 100 points buys you a bunch of choppas, shootas, and red-dot sights, which also lets you adjust the composition of your gang for either more ranged or more hand-to-hand capability, based on your opponents. factions that require burning caches to recruit are at a huge disadvantage in this game unless they are small gods like the harlequins. orks is best

D3 shots is significantly better than some single shot rifle, save mods and wound rerolls don't mean poo poo if you can't hit i prefer the tesla but of course a balanced approach is best, finding the proper mix of weapons is part of the game
