As if this outcome of this race was anything besides symbolic anyway? "If only the GOP House Majority was 43 instead of 44"--last remaining Progressive shuffled into the rail car

ma votes for republicans all the time, as opposed to most seats which haven't voted for a democrat in decades. same as why montana has had 2 two term dem governors in a row

if Republican support of Trump begins wavering then, yes, every additional seat matters because it means needing one fewer Republican Representative that has second thoughts about Trump

You're right! The other 43 seats will come up for vote at.... oh, yup. The exact same time that this one will. It'd have been really nice to get a win. It's circlejerkery to pretend that if ~10,000 people in KS-4 had voted the other direction, there would be any actual difference in their lives. In the meantime, Our Movement and other orgs can point to this result in midwestern primaries leading into 2018 as proof that their slate is competitive in 'safe' red seats.

difference between Dems and Republicans: Dems think they're winning at all cost when they carefully select which races to invest money into, sometimes venturing out and investing in a slightly pink district Reps think they're winning at all cost as they're disenfranchising anyone that might vote against them and jailing/murdering any young progressive leaders that are too popular
