I think loving with the head of the guy who against all odds was the best goalie you've had in like 20 drat years, after he's publicly talked about the issues he had after with everything that happened in Columbus, is quite stupid.

Yeah Mason's been very solid when he's the clear #1 starter and lord knows we've had worse backups than Neuvirth, but this 1A-1B thing clearly isn't working.

Well, looks like it won't be an issue next year. Mason isn't coming back if he's saying things like that, not that it was likely anyway once Neuvirth's contract was renewed. In Stolarz we trust ?

It definitely didn't work in Pittsburgh either but JR and the Pittsburgh media keep stubbornly bringing up how great it is the Pens have goalie depth like Maf won't be an absolute disaster the second he steps into a playoff game. Also they picked up Condon off waivers earlier in the season and he's probably no worse than Maf and may actually be better. Of course they got rid of him rather than Maf though.

Goalies are complete voodoo crapshoots, drafting one every year in hopes one finally pans out is a good move imo.

I wonder how Seguin feels about Hitch coming in. On the one hand, he will probably stabilize the Stars, one the other hand, they don't have enough defenders who can play the type of game he wants. Might be a disaster.
