I am a filthy atheist who likes cadbury creme eggs. It seems odd to think that enjoying a seasonal treat would be restricted by religion. I imagine there are plenty of Muslims who might want to eat the creme eggs based solely on taste, not religion. They are a big market, like over a billion people.

Are they not normally Halal because they contain vanilla extract, which contains alcohol? I can't think of anything else that would be in those eggs that would be a problem.

Nobody who complains about things "becoming" halal actually cares if they're taking ingredients or whatever out and replacing them or anything like that. All they care about is the word "Halal" and the fact it has to do with muslims and when they think muslims they think of ISIS and the taliban. Nothing else about it matters, it's simply "This word is associated with muslims, muslims=ISIS/Death Cult/Moon God/Brown People taking over."

I'm not sure how gelatin is made in Australia, but most U.S. Gelatin is kosher, meaning no pork gelatin is used. I know kashrut and halal are not necessarily the same, but I'm pretty sure they share that rule.
