What vehicles have you seen stopped for no apparent reason in someplace no one would want to stop; or obviously broken down on the side of the road recently? On my most recent road trip, I saw: Two late-model Camaros One Nissan Quest One Jaguar F-type One early 90s Ford Escort One 1st generation Pontiac Vibe

Not super recently, but i saw a mid 80's Ferrari broken down in the middle of an intersection in Italy. That's definitely the choice of vehicle for breaking down and blocking the traffic there. No one honked and plenty of encouraging hand waving as they pushed it out of the way.

Some 1980s coupe, half the rear end sitting in traffic, without the hazards on. I think it was an Olds, but it was dumb because the guy was still in the car.

Lots of Pontiac Montanas for some reason. I feel like most of those have probably hit the end of their useful life, which is pretty impressive. Usually you don't see domestic vans that old surviving 10+ years of no maintenance.

I saw a stanced Altima with really huge blingy wheels getting loaded onto a flatbed alongside I495. I hope he got impounded.

The only remarkable broken car I have seen this week was a newish looking chevy Cruze with a tow sticker on it. It was on I71 somewhere in KY. Other than that the usual assortment of beater Taurus, minivans and one mid 2000s corolla.

A morose twenty-something was standing next to his apparently non-running Mazda 626 on the side of the freeway today. Couldn't tell what the problem was but he looked very, very sad.

On any given day on a metro-Detroit interstate or freeway: An early-mid 90'd Ford aero Crown Victoria with a lifted suspension made to fit 26in rims, but with 16in steelies on it. 1980's Chevy Van. White/rust colored. A 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with extremely dark tint on the windows, possibly concealing a dead body.

Most of a primer-colored first-gen Camaro at a red light. One of the wheels, on the other hand, on the other side of the intersection in the parking lot of a convenience store. It looks like it lost the lug nuts or sheared the studs, and when the car stopped, the left rear wheel kept right on truckin'.

I offered my jack to the guy, but he was apparently in a hurry because he just pinned it and used the throttle to keep most of the weight off the front end. Left the wheel sitting there on the side of the road and everything.

my 240 caught on fire last week. it's fine now though. saw a stanced early 90s lexus ls? that obviously had some sort of suspension collapse a couple days ago. saw a stanced EK civic with the tire touching the fender and several parking tickets parked downtown while i was on my Cannondale yesterday. my city has an impound auction every other month and that's fun if you like looking at this sort of poo poo.

Regularly see early 2000-era Jettas. No surprise there. What always makes me feel kinda bad is when I see older vehicles (usually domestics or Nissans) with temp plates broken down. I see one of these at least once a week.
