We have the capability to make San Jose's first Cup Champion.

The Sharks could be that Champion.

I can't recall the specific game, but I was at one of the Sharks/Avs playoff games in the early 2000s that the Sharks lost pretty handily, and there was a solitary Avs fan in our section who would stand up, doff his hat to reveal a Getzlafesque head of hair, and take a bow after each Colorado goal. The third time this happened, a handful of dudes got the entire section chanting "ROOOO-GAAAAAAINE" at him. Does that count?

Nice. That's how you gently caress with opposing team fans without being a violent shithead.

I think he made a beautiful post and did a great job and he is good.
During the height of the Crosby-Ovechkin rivalry, I remember a game where Penguins fans lined up on the steps of the Portrait Gallery across from the Verizon Center and were lobbing beer bottles into the crowd.

Mostly it's just fans from New York parachuting in and telling people they are bad at being fans for not cheering enough or at the right times or something stupid. I've seen this in Jersey, D.C. and Florida at hockey, football and baseball games.

I've seen tons of fights in the stands over the years at Canucks games. Oilers games seem to be a particular target. Really all you need is the home team to be losing badly, everyone gets quite drunk and one rear end in a top hat opposition fan standing up and goading the crowd. It ends with beers dumped on mortified girlfriends security dragging everyone out. It's great entertainment.

Why doesn't the NHL stagger start times for the games? There's no reason for two 7 pm starts tonight.

Also is there any word on Murray's injury? I know he's not playing tonight but any idea how long he's going to be out?

Same reason the Western Conference games are 10:30pm Eastern start times: to stagger them substantially means somebody has to start at 4pm with nobody in the stands or at home watching on TV.

e: unless you want Eastern Conference starts at 7 and 9:30 and the West games starting at 8 and 10:30 which I would totally be in favor of.

How's Sanford been for the Blues? He was kind of lost for the first half of the season with Washington which was to be expected, but got a little more comfortable towards the end. I was sad to see him traded but Shattenkirk has been worth it so far. Maybe this will be one of those rare win-win trades.

My man needs to hit the gym big time in the off-season because he isn't very strong on his skates, but he knows how to get to open areas of the ice and has some really soft hands. I think he tops out as a 2C in the best case scenario, but will be great as a third liner.

Nobody knows. If it's his groin I'd think he's out for at least the rest of this series as those types of injuries tend to linger.
