After repeatedly saying that there wouldn't be an early election, British PM Theresa May has called a snap election. The New York Times posted:LONDON — Prime Minister Theresa May of Britain on Tuesday called for a snap election for June 8, clearly anxious that her thin majority in Parliament would weaken her hand in complicated negotiations on the British exit from the European Union. Ed Balls, death is certain, etc.

She was facing losing a majority because of an expenses scandal at the last election so this basically dodges that issue since labour are polling so badly. Of course had the tories not cheated in the last election they might not have won and brexit wouldn't have happened

I wonder what wonderful scandals noted rascal eduardo millibando would have ended up in had the tories not cheated their way in Everything is hosed and everyday things are hosed further, and in far more seemingly implausible ways

Corbyn often has good policies but is fundamentally bad at the job of being leader of the opposition. He'd probably be a pretty good shadow work and pensions secretary or something idk.

Problem is, the other wing is way worse at leading, as shown by them taking the political opportunity of Cameron making GBS threads himself so spectacularly he resigned to knife their leadership in the back.

Premier Corbyn will be a thing, he will brexit from the eu to create a new socialist utopia and every county will join in, starting with France after Mélenchon is elected.

Ages ago in one of the Fashion SWAT frontpage articles, Dr. Thorpe described the early history of Britain as something like "their entire political system revolved around slitting each other's throats and hurling the bodies into a bog." It's nice to see things haven't changed all that much.

labour right is incompetent and opposed by the press, corbyn is more incompetent and seen as terrifying anathema by the press the meaningful battle has for a while been to secure a left wing power base in post-corbyn labour
