a lot of students show me their drafts on their phones, which is nuts to me that they are writing papers on their phones but whatever more power to them. i'll be reading their argument for why college athletes should be paid and then a text will pop up with "you're an addict lol" and i don't give a gently caress that they get high but they are so brave. like, what if they get a sext while i'm reading their paper? kids today!

I can't even imagine writing anything remotely long-form like that
