I know it's been said before, but I absolutely love Willie and Modesty's friendship and how it comes down to lil' things like recording a show one of them wanted to watch.

And they are strictly friends. There's no silly "will they or won't they" business. At no point is romance even on the table. The closest they got was in the last adventure when Modesty was speculating about Willie being the last man on earth (more or less, being stranded forever in the middle of a desert and all) and she did not seem enthused about it.

Proper muffins are more of a savoury cupcake, baked, and made without yeast.

English muffins are closer to crumpets as they are toasted, and made with yeast.

I'm so used to them never thinking about each other in those terms I was surprised it got brought up even in that context.

And yet some of those meanings can be misleading if you were to take them literally. Thylacine was called the Tasmanian tiger or Tasmanian wolf, but it was neither tiger nor wolf. If it was agreed upon to call Thylacine the Tasmanian muffin then that's what it would be called, but it still wouldn't be a true muffin.

I'm the last person that's going to challenge you on that, and I'm certainly not suggesting that I go to hotels and throw english muffins around screaming that in reality they should be called american crumpets - I'm just explaining how the perspective that an english muffin is not an actual muffin despite the name could come about as it fails the two most basic criteria - preparation and ingredients - of a very broad categorisation of baked goods.
