Synthetic Hermit posted:I sat in Upper H Stand, Sec 22, Row Z last year, and was quite happy. It was too far away to see the pole, but the view of turn 4 and the pit entrance was excellent. I just did a search for Upper H Stand, and came up with Sec 24, Row Y (approximate view - the fence is closer in reality), which is even further from the pole, but would compensate with a better view of the turn 4 entrance. This is great thanks

There's a week between the Pocono race and the next F1 race in late August. Maybe nando gets bit by the oval bug and he can finagle another race this year.

they already are an OEM on the car, the spec ECU and I believe much of the wiring loom is from McLaren's "Applied Technologies" group the downside of McLaren becoming more involved with IndyCar is we may get stuck with a lovely race in Bahrain like F1 is (Bahrain's government owns the controlling stake in McLaren)

Genocide Tendency posted:Any time aerokits and McLaren get mentioned together it should be a requirement to post the following: The spiritual successor to all of the current proto designs is a forgotten design called the Allard J2X-C. It had unheard of things in the proto world at the time (1992) borrowing heavily from open wheel that is now on every single car, including double wishbone suspension front and rear with pushrods, a carbon monocoque, a stressed member engine design etc. Why is that all relevant? This is what it looked like. Whats old is new again! (btw the whole story of the Allard is really interesting from start to finish.)

Also the Allard is why I don't worry too much about open wheel cars having closed cockpits cause god its bad rear end looking

Like even during the series prime the ratings for say Phoenix were far far below that of what cup is getting.

The point is even more stupid when you consider how many fans NASCAR has been hemorrhaging over the years. NASCAR may still be the best in America, but it stopped being bulletproof a long time ago. Her whole attitude just reeks of jealously that "the little guy" dares grab headlines away from The God-Emperor of Motorsports.
