They sometimes do; we had one last year where one of our backs did a reckless foul but just got a talking to, and the guy he fouled started screaming at the ref and abusing him so the ref gave him a yellow. The muppet then kept telling the ref off as he lined up the free kick so the ref calmly gave him another yellow and sent him on his way.

I was just standing in goals laughing my head off as his teammates escorted him off (since, strangely, he didn't take the resulting red well).

I've never understood the mindset of people who repeatedly keep abusing a ref.

You've got to treat the refs, (of any sport), like nightclub doormen.

Dumbarse arseholes who hold power over you, and if you ark up at them, they aren't going to change their decision and let you in, in fact they are more likely to double down and punish you for petty bullshit reasons in the future.

I mean even if the guy wasn't biased against you before you yelled in his face calling him a cheat and a liar and a dickhead, then he is way more likely to be afterwards. You'd think professionals would know that.

Yeah but your average footballer is a petulant cock stain that has had everything given to them since they were like 18 and have never been told no by anyone...and even if they are told no they just keep going (see Evans, Chad)

Reminds me of that one video where the ref is getting crowded and just pulls out his red card and holds it by his side until the players disperse. I'd imagine that only works so often.
