If Price gets tossed somewhere it has to end with MAF as a Hab, it just has to.

A MAF-Price trade would be hilarious because both sets of fans would have to act like they're trading up.

I mean, yeah MAF isn't as good as Price in the regular season, but he just wins. It's about time this team had a goalie who could win in the playoffs. Were in win-now mode. This move just makes sense for us.

No matter what they do. They've been screwed over ever since they traded Patrick Roy away. I have a feeling the only way this team gets back on track is if they hire him as a coach. Rejean Houle and Mario Tremblay screwed up the franchise and the Habs haven't been the same since.

I'll reserve judgement until I see what Stevens does as the head coach but he's been the successor on the Kings for a good long while. The last successor the Kings let walk was Bruce Boudreau so they could hire Crawford... that was a poor choice.

I have to say I thought Radulov was quite good and Pacioretty had some good looks but I do think it's fair to say they needed more from him. But it's also a bit easier to "shut down" those guys when they're the only legitimate scoring threats on the team unless Gallagher happens to be sitting on Lundqvist again

This is really the problem, they have no depth at all. Any good coach can do a decent job of shutting down a team with only one good line.

Pretty shameful that the league gave the Leafs that extra day off between earlier games so they didn't have to exit earlier.

That happens a lot. Tanev has taken 18 penalties over the last 4 years despite playing 25+ minutes a night and getting the hardest match ups. Players like that just get ignored for some reason.

Then again it's the Lady Byng, so who really cares?

Talbot's problem is that if he gets scored on by a garbage goal, he completely collapses and lets everything in.

Ben Bishop is a UFA. Montreal should sign him and carry on the proud tradition of LA trading away a good player for someone on an expiring contract who then leaves immediately for a better team. Then trade Price for some functional defense.

Apparently Calgary is hot to trot for Bishop, which I am not pleased about

Brian Campbell is the only D to win it in the last 53 years, the last guy before him was Red Kelly. Unoffically, it's basically an award for the most gentlemanly forward. Not unlike how the Norris has sorta become the Art Ross for defencemen.

In fairness, 4 PIM in 72 games while averaging .82 PPG is pretty drat good regardless. Johnny's gonna make some other team real happy one day. And yes I know he's locked up long-term but if Calgary's lovely plan for the off-season is any indication he's gonna lose patience eventually.

I don't know why you wouldn't be pleased. Bishop is a good goalie, he had an off year this season but he still was better than either of Elliott or Johnson. Aside from Matt Murray being force traded, he's arguably the best goalie option out there.

Personally, I'm hoping Fleury gets traded to Calgary for maximum hilarity every game.

But Gaudreau also dives. That's not very gentlemanly. :colbert:
