But if you assume Kante is just out there tackling the ball off people and getting in the way of passes, it probably misses the mark on him being a pretty good distributor of the ball. He certainly doesn't just hit a sideways pass and then go back to a holding position.

advanced tactics: could you perhaps suggest that kante covers both ends of the field while making both tackles and passes? an end2end midfielder, if you will

Ewar Woowar

Kante sits far further up the field than your traditional defensive midfielder. His strengths are obviously his interceptions, tackles and work rate but he's no slouch when it comes to passing or making forward runs.

Also he's nothing like Carrick. Carrick sat deep and wasn't even close to being mobile like Kante is.

They can both be considered defensive midfielders

actually i follow the england team home and away and i can confirm that the only useful thing for a midfielder to do is to bomb forward without reading the game at all and then to shoot six yards high and six yards wide

I think what we have learned from this thread is that Kante is a Good or bad player who plays somewhere in midfield, and may literally be Michael Carrick.

that list is only bets involving his own team, can only assume he had a lot more bets on other teams or sports. law of averages says he would win a few quid at some stage, like me and the grand national.
