In case anyone was unaware, btw, estate tax has a federal exemption up to around 5.5 million dollars, so it is like the definition of a tax people get upset about that will never matter to them but really matters to the wealthy

The one place I've seen estate taxes really hurt middle-class Americans is in the case of farmers. Farmer owns land and dies. His son, an employee of the farm, must pay so much estate tax that he is actually forced to sell the farm, destroying his business and potential to earn a living. The estate tax can be really detrimental for farmers and many small business owners. I at least hope some exceptions are applied to estate tax law. lol at everything else about that 1 pager though.

Why the gently caress is "protect the home ownership and charitable gift tax deductions" even on that page?
