It's a sort of roguelike shooter- most of the time there's a huge horde of trash charging you, seeded with a few elite enemies that shoot patterns of bullets. You don't have control over aiming and firing- the character automatically shoots at the nearest enemy within range, so you're mostly positioning, dodging, and using spells/items; this makes me think this was originally designed as a phone game (not that there's anything wrong with that). The items and monsters all have fun little cosmic horror fluff descriptions and the stat upgrades are described as organs you ripped out of enemies and ate, so there's that. Glad you're digging it! We're in development on a patch right now that will try to address some of the performance problems, among other issues. Hopefully it'll be finished soon! We're also working to nail down release outside of the US, including Canada. I'll follow up when we know more on that front.

People are getting wound up about the minor game mechanic thing is one thing, but are we just gonna gloss over the fact that people are saying a pretty low-tier by SMT standards 'super' boss is now "virtually unkillable and exists to stop you from making progress" and the only way to deal with it is an exploit. It's not like the game is siccing a roadblock Demi-Fiend on you, c'mon now.

Yeah Prey's movement has this "Acceleration" to it that makes it hard to do things like stop moving your view over the small thing you need to press or pick up. Tiny stick movements slide you too far. This also means combat and shooting are blowful. First hour is also mad boring. Demo basically cemented me renting this... one day, who knows when...

Ugghhhhhhh how come sony is so poo poo at USB device management? I've spent the past like 4 hours trying to back up my ps4 so i can replace the hdd, but ive run into nothing but errors. First, even though it could detect it (in devices, for instance), my ps4 said there wasn't a drive connected or something like that when i tried to back up to an external drive. After I then set it up for external storage to verify it worked that way, I tried it again after re-formatting and it went through everything up to the restart where it then immediately threw a 'cannot access the thing' error. I then tried a different drive, which got through ~60-70% of the data until it subsequently threw yet another error saying that it 'cannot back up'. Jesus loving christ is this annoying. Am I missing some black magic ritual that I must perform? Do I need to salughter a goat? Burn sage at the ps4's vents?

The backup failing after it's most of the way through sounds like a faulty drive. Maybe try a new one. I've done backup + restore a bunch and had fine luck. Just need exFAT and plenty of space.

Yeah. The first drive was almost brand new (~4 weeks of light use sitting on my desk), and the second (that seemed to work) I've had for about 2 years now (this one I've carried around a bunch and dropped and stuff lol). I rebuilt the registry/file system/db and deleted some more games I haven't played in a year or more, so hopefully itll work now. I can just re-download everything especially as I have gigabit internet, but I'd rather not wait since i never get my bandwidth maxed anyways. Though, now that I rhink about it, downloading is still faster than this backup/restore... Oh well, it's in the middle of it, i might as well finish.
