Also everyone needs to man the gently caress up. Stereotypes are funny and not joking about lovely things that happened in the past causes us to forget the past which in turns causes us to repeat it.

Using stereotypes as jokes is a good way to convince ourselves no one has ever used stereotypes to convince people to hurt others.

It depends largely on if shadow play wants to work and how badly it's affecting my frame rate. And those answers are usually "no" and "badly". So I only run it when we have big groups and I can stand back and

I liked poptarting because I was good at it. But I also like having a mech to do lrm support in a group. Glad my computer won't allow me to play this game anymore.

Those who have it installed - Do you prefer having it as a stand-alone install, or having it installed via Steam? Not sure if it makes a difference or not.

Oh Snapple! posted:I deeply need examples and (preferably) video of this salt. We started the match off right with the usual "Hello Team Helios", aimbotting accusations, You Mad bros, etc. They went apeshit. Then since we knew they were all going to snipe spots, we decided to flank around the map and base cap. We didn't win the match, but we did roll 228 when they came back to stop us. I know, I remember, and I get why they did it. I'm just saying, assuming MechWarrior 5 turns out not poo poo (different team, no PvP balance concerns. So it's just unlikely, not unthinkable) I better be able to hook up my HOTAS setup and not gimp myself by doing so.

If MW5 progresses to a point where it's playable at all, I'll be kinda shocked. I still doubt they'd do HOTAS support though because they're not competent in even the barest sense of the word. Nudging the stick forward would probably activate the Override.

MW5 will be playable and released. I would assume the financial fortunes of PGI ride heavily on this. MWO is probably still profitable and keeping the lights on, but they know it won't last forever- that was why they tried to expand and do Transverse. When that flopped harder than Gaben doing a high dive, they knew whatever they did next would have to be successful enough to get a release so people would buy it. It might not be good, but they will at the very least release it, because they are virtually guaranteed that enough people will buy it in the launch week before reading reviews to recoup the costs of making it. While a part of me thinks the switch to Unreal 4 will make control issues less bad, I actually don't know if it has native flightstick support. I've worked with it quite a bit and never seen it referenced or had reason to look it up. I'd guess no, though.

The thing is, I think it was part of or near to the initial reveal that they were working with a peripheral company to make an official MWO joystick console station. http://www.pcgamer.com/razer-artemis-is-a-custom-keypadjoysticktablet-peripheral-for-mechwarrior-online/ How do they at the early base game design level say "Hey let's team up with this joystick manufacturer to make expensive one-off hardware AND design our game nearly unplayable with it!" it really makes me go
