I'm really surprised everyone is just accepting the dominatrix explanation at face value instead instead of something more plausible, like an angry ex or someone else who might have emailed the photos. Many people have used revenge porn to get back at someone they're mad at. If Carl got fired, it would be easy enough for him to sue the person who did it, but people often don't think ahead about such things and do them anyway. This all assumes the confession is real, of course, which it probably isn't.

Don't fire Carl then deal with the massive lawsuit when his Dom sends gaping rear end in a top hat pics to his coworkers, too!

Now that I think about it I'm surprised it's not illegal to expose people to pornography without their consent.

It's up to the victim to decide whether it was sexual harassment or not. If you don't care or think it was funny then it's not harassment. It seems the boss is more concerned about possibly having to talk about this than he's traumatized by seeing an anus. Not all businesses are fast food restaurants or megacorps where everyone is immediately replaceable. Firing an employee has business repercussions.

Email the dominatrix saying have been considering firing Carl due to the photos. Offer to let the matter go if you're invited to one of their sessions and Carl has funnels inserted in his rear end, mouth and dickhole for you to poo poo and piss in. Eat out beforehand, make the meal a huge one with lots of drinks and bill it as 'Executive stress relief'.

I've only got the one rn quote:I often get cock-shy using urinals at public lavatories if someone else is around but after trying a variation on the pissbitch method I can usually squeeze a few drops out at the very least. Thanks thread and get beefy you queer little pissbitches. I keep saying it, shy-bladder is about anxiety and the pissbitch method is psychosomatic. If it works, it's because you think it might work. it's still funny as a thread title tho

The sexual harassment policy at my (megacorp) job is basically a zero tolerance, everything must-be-reported immediately, even if you are the vicitm. If someone walks by and smacks your rear end, you report them right away and they are terminated. If you wait 2 weeks and report it, then you are both terminated. Them for harassment and you for failing to report harassment. If it's never reported then there won't be an issue, but if I'm the boss you gotta can the guy otherwise you take the risk that he reports to HR that he is being harassed by his dominatrix and you get canned for not reporting when you knew.

Radical and BADical! posted:These are internal, corporate rules that are enforced on the whims of the bosses. It's definitely up to Bossperson whether or not this gets escalated to HR, and it is also up to Bossperson if he/she feels sexually harassed. I personally agree that it's sexual harassment but I would not ruin this dudes life over some rude photos of a butthole and bondage gear. Dude rules are not enforced on "the whims of the bosses" because if they were it would open up the corporation to massive amounts of liability. Guys do stupid poo poo - much stupider than this - to get their rocks off all the time and you assuming madness instead of the much, much more prevalent affliction of Simply Dumber Than Hell is weird as gently caress. And quit acting like ruining this guy's career over what he did is some kind of grand tragedy. It's not like he's getting shitcanned for parking in the boss's space, he sent photos of his gaping rear end in a top hat to his coworker. Not only is that a fireable offense literally any way you look at it, it is a criminal act. And you bet your gaping, exhibitionist rear end that the kind of person who does that is not going to be the kind of person you want to be working with anyway - they're the weirdo with the mail-order Chinese wife, eating homemade kimchi out of a bento box covered in cartoon characters, that goes on the treadmill in full chainmail to "work out".

As someone whose job is to investigate sexual harassment in the workplace, my advice would be to meet with Carl and a third party (union rep, HR, senior manager) to hear his explanation (basically what Anton Chigurh said earlier). If he admits to sending the pics / allowing his dominatrix to send the pics, or if his excuse is obviously bullshit, yeah you can fire him. Good luck!tesilential posted:Not really dude. You could get fired if someone told you in confidence that they were sexually harassed and you didn't immediately report it. And it happened at least once while I was there involving two managers and a cashier that all got fired because none of them reported it and it came out when one of the baggers finally reported it straight to HR. They fired a 17 year old girl for not reporting her 42 year old boss for grabbing her rear end every time he went to her register to override something. I left a little after that, but from what friends that still worked there told me there wasn't any blowback from anyone involved as far as they knew. Really weird situation.

A 17 year old girl probably doesn't have much money or access to a good lawyer, but this seems like an extremely stupid policy to have in a larger corporate environment where people might actually have these resources. I imagine a woman getting fired for being the victim of sexual harassment would be a pretty big legal shitstorm regardless of whatever policy they have about it.
