I love that DJ grognards always pull out videos of turntablists to try and prove that they are doing something other than being a glorified ipod. 99% of all DJs figure out how to blend tracks within like 2 weeks and stop there. Turntablism is one of my favorite things and to pretend that club DJs are even in the same league is absurd. And christ that Ean Golden guy needs to get a new hobby, that was the most boring poo poo i've ever seen. Since this thread has become "post your favorite turntablism performance", heres mine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DE7pGDEYXpA

Turntablism is one of my favorite things and to pretend that club DJs are even in the same league is absurd. It's the same thing with any music genre. 99% of bands play their brothers wedding one time and are barely passable, only the top 0.1% are Radiohead or Seether or Zeppelin or whatever. Most people that are into the electronic music scene for the music have no respect for Avicii/Garret/Guettea, but seeing PVD do live remixes or Girl Talk killing himself on stage for a six hour stretch is massive.
