This episode also makes Jack out to be way less competent than he's been shown to be before. He had his goofy moments in the original series but they were usually kept entirely separate from the serious scenes and- *finale plays* Okay I'm just going to pretend this episode never happened.

That was an oddly disjointed episode. I thought using the roomba would have some significance, but they really did just keep pressing buttons until it worked.

Like, discounting the obvious, there wasn't really a point to that episode except to fill the episode quota. Unless the obvious was the advance on the metaplot in which case... yeah, this is the skip episode on rewatches.

The episode preview didn't show Ashi at all, so I'm hopeful this really is just a weird one-off. No way in hell would they put so much effort into the new season and have the end be plagued by this, so I'm not worried that the Final Showdown with Aku will suffer or anything.
