You know, before this I had no idea that exit polls weren't the best option. Good god, French, we might have invented modern democracy but I think you've gotten pretty close to perfecting it with that whole "make estimates with actual votes" thing. I mean, that's at least two major advantages you have on us, if you include the Electoral College.
