stick a cube of your favorite material in the recycler bin. split it into a bunch of stacks (bigger stacks are better it seems, i tried splitting off just the minimum amount to fill the bin completely and the returns weren't quite as good). marvel at there being a rounding error someplace in the calculation and the recycle button spitting out basically double what you put in.

Is not killing named phantoms important? I've been murdering my way through them on the assumption once they're a phantom they're a done deal.

If you kill the Nightmare is that it? Or does it just come back again? Really tense knowing it was out there, but I cheesed it and managed to kill it.

Tried returning to Neuromod Division for some side quest stuff. Executable crashes every time I try to load in. :sigh:

I hope someone else had something similar and found a workaround.

I feel like the game is perhaps a little too hard on Normal. I'm playing without using any Typhon powers though, so maybe that's it.

I was doing pretty well until the main mission took me to the shuttle bay (also playing on Normal, not using Typhon mods), and now I'm up against piles of laser-toting military operators and not doing very well.

whew, in the GUTS portion and got through what I assume was the first "boss" which was kind of lame just kiting him around the little boxed area.

I'm constantly starved for health and suit repairs now but have enough ammo and poo poo to combat alien guys. Phantoms are still really goddamn deadly even now but I'm sitting on like 5 Neuromods so maybe I should get Backlash. Currently only have the cuppy power because how could I resist? Gotta backtrack now and go through spaces I couldn't before.

I'm only playing on Normal and maybe this is just first-run jitters but it's plenty hard if an errant bolt rips into you or you have a bad beat versus a Phantom. I have a feeling it will be like Dishonored 1+2--wherein I needed a second playthrough, as the 1st playthru was stumbling along and the 2nd one was about totally knowing how to handle every situation and getting creative.

Incredibly. I bet they're thrashing around in fits of autistic rage over the fact that you can be a femYu as well.
Their tiny little brains cannot even understand how a woman can be the protagonist of any story what so ever without needing help from a man.
So pathetic.

Edit: Nevermind, found the bastard!

Just so this post isn't COMPLETELY useless, I can confirm that the Nightmare hunts you at random. Like I'm sure he automatically shows up in one or two places, but I've run into him TWICE now while backtracking so I'm pretty sure he spawns in random locations too.

I don't think is the case. I think can be a combination of "like to hang in a bunch of places" and number of neuromods consumed. I was in a closed room, and after injecting myself with 10 mods it showed. Coincidence? I think not.

Picked it up today on PS4.

Haven't started the meat of the game yet, I just got off the helicopter. Yeah the controls are floaty and the audio levels could use some tweaking but the game is fine. Looking forward to it.

What is weird about the Nightmare is that is has a tracker for how long to escape, but it can't travel between areas. So you can just walk through a door and be fine.

so, the game does shower you with a ton of nanomods, but any skill evaluations yet? I still think the best way to start the game on hard+ is to rush both medikit upgrades, which takes your survivability from jack poo poo to OK. Wrench 1 and the first conditioning mod are good for that too so you aren't constantly tiring yourself out against mimics.

Leverage 3 is important for 2 reasons you wouldn't assume. First for combat, thrown r3 stuff does absurd damage, and you can take it with you whole levels. Add the lifting speed mod/damage mod and you don't need weapons.

If you stealth throw a tape recorder with stealth critical up, you'll one shot a Nightmare for example.

Secondly a ton of vents are behind r3 stuff. You can recycler bomb blocked doors sure, but guessing where the vents are is much harder.

Repair is needed to access a ton of content. Turrets aren't as useful but still nice time to time. Few quests need repair to finish.

Hacking ironically seems pointless. Enough notes around to just know the login info, and hacking to me feels like it pulls away from the exploration which is the best part of tbe game. Sure you can hack the door, or you can find the guy who actually has the key two zones away and Metroidvania back to open it.

I did found some safes that could only be opened by hacking unfortunately (they didn't even let you input a code), so that's not really the case.

The first two things I beelined for were Hacking 3 and Leverage 3, so I guess that evens out! :v:

I also got an inventory upgrade (I still don't understand why that is a neuromod and not a suit upgrade)
