That game was fun as hell. All these young players are amazing these days. Laine for Finland, Matthews for the US, Mcdavid for Canada, Draisaitl for Germany. Nylander for Sweden. Imagine how good the olympics.......could have been.

No, unless this is a troll, the majority of Oilers fans frothing and spewing in gloating apoplexy on-line and in the stands are 40-somethings who have spent the last ten years deriding west coast Canadian teams because a long-retired iteration of their team won all those cups in the 80s and next year everything is going to change because we drafted player x and hired coach y. There is zero earned slack for those people, though I'm happy for the players who in particular played through the worst of that era and are finally playing playoff hockey (badly), and millenial fans, even bandwagoners

Had to listen to my father in law go off on a tirade about PK last night and how much he hates him, skirting around the issue of WHY he hates him even though it is totally obvious due to the blatant racism he casually throws around every day. And he's not even a Montreal fan, he likes the Leafs. And hates black people. And the Pens, just slightly less. So that makes talking about hockey just about miserable.

He came to Canada from Italy when he was a teenager and then became a US Citizen as a young man. So his racism has a special "European" flavor to it. Also, at the Crunch game the other night one of the pre game on-ice people retrieving pucks was a midget/dwarf/little person. While I don't know the preferred nomenclature for such people, at least I didn't point and laugh and loudly remark that the bucket was bigger than he was.

 If the Perds win I'm getting a Subban jersey. I already have a Gill jersey, but I will be the proud owner of 2 Nashville sweaters. Even if they beat the Pens. My wife wants to go to a game in Nashville because she has realized that they are, in her opinion, the best looking team in the league. I'm ok with that because I would love to go back and see a game there
