Ramadu posted:yeah so what its on his transcript as MEATS My college had Mining 101. It's literally MINE101 on my transcript. 4 science credits plus 1 lab credit. The course description was, "Introduction to Engineering Calculations," and we spent a lot of time crunching numbers. Occasionally we'd get to do some cool practical experiments, like testing the burn rate of different types of fuses in a warm room versus outside in -20 weather. It was a pretty cool class, except it had nothing to do with my major, Software Engineering. We got shuffled into MINE101 cuz we had "engineer" in our title. Ugh. And then I transferred to a uni that took the credits as 5 generic credits, because who the gently caress has MINE101 in their loving catalog? Had to get like 3 signatures from department heads to get that changed to science credits so I could graduate.

Meanwhile in China .... http://i.imgur.com/5yiMXgm.gifv ABC News reports "the motorcyclist sustained non-life-threatening injuries" and apparently the truck driver escaped out the passenger door. I'm guessing the rider was texting or something, he sure didn't seem to be paying any attention to where he was going. Also out of all the dozens of videos I've seen of people catching on fire I think this is the first time I've seen "Stop, drop and roll" actually work

In high school in Wisconsin, our school bus got clipped once by the landing gear of a Cessna while it was just driving down the highway. There was a short paved landing strip super close to the highway for aircraft. The solution was to put up a sign on the highway to "watch for low flying aircraft." Problem solved!

Yeah my question is... why is this guy filming a gas station and what the gently caress happens behind those trees to cause the explosion/fire. *edit* Just saw the smoke that was initially there, didn't notice it the first few times, but what the gently caress is happening, is the car on fire?

The smoke is the vapor cloud of gas escaping a pump or storage tank. He is filming it because it has to explode at some point. There is always an ignition source.

It wasn't, as many outraged Chinese at the time felt, a simple act of decency. So there's a chance that if you stop to help the burning man, he could say it was you who set him on fire and sue you and the courts would agree with him. The lesson here is don't go to china.
