So if I'm right he's trying to limp to the pits because if he dies on the track he can't go back out to qualify? And if he can't qualify he can't race?

Yeah looks like Seb managed to get a decent time in. Okay what if you make it to round 2 but your car dies then? Do you start as dead last or are you still ahead of the drivers that got eliminated in round 1? Last time I watched F1 properly they just went out to drive for an hour and whoever was fastest at the end of 60 minutes was on pole.
