Their whole argument seems to revolve around if you don't literally say I hate black people it's not racist and if you want me to waste my time and energy explaining how dumb that is only to go back to "but he didn't say it so you just want it to be true" I cordially invite you to lick my balls

No their argument is that the single thing being used to prove that they are racists is being taken out of context and was actually trying to express the exact opposite. What was a quote about how parents on both sides of the issue just want is best for their kids and how their motivations are being distorted by out of context quotes by the media to make the debate seem more raging than it is was then taken out of context to make the debate seem more raging than it is. I'm not saying I know for sure they didn't object to the change for horrible reasons, just that the sole thing that is being is used as proof actually meant the opposite and all you have is assumptions which you are choosing to interpret in a way that suits you.

Like the only thing I can find actual proof of is they went to school meeting and Jason Jones said a thing. I literally can't find proof that they were on the against side other than the quote being taken out of context. From what I can tell it's not a piece of the story, it's the whole story. Maybe there's loads of other evidence that this was a horrible race thing I haven't seen, but like that would be stuff brought up in a discussion rather than whatever it is you do when you post here. Now I fully expect you to tell me to suck your dick and maybe double post just restating your position but in a tone that makes it seem like your view is the only obvious truth without anything to back it up.

Just got out of Jeffrey Combs' one man Edgar Allan Poe show, Nevermore. If you're in Los Angeles, he's doing one more show tomorrow, then they're tearing down the Steve Allen theater to put up condos. :(

I was lucky enough to see that a few years ago on Halloween and it was incredible. I highly recommend it to everyone if it comes to their area.

I heard earlier today that now Richard Spencer is wearing fake glasses like a disguise so people will stop assaulting him. Between the original face punch, the time after that when he got his rear end kicked because he insulted the Indian cab driver who was going to take him away from an angry mob, and now this I can't stop laughing at him.

Oh I don't know, even in their context where he gestures towards every1 quieting down & not talking to press, comments like, "That said. When you scroll down and you read rhetoric from some parents that suggests that you are opposed to this move ‘those against this idea are terrified of what it would look like if the school were to be in an area by the projects’ is dishonest at best and slanderous at worst."
&
"So just be mindful of when you speak, if you’re going to speak to the press, because slandering or saying anything negative about this teaching staff is wrong. And, conversely, painting any opposition as classist or racist is about as bad as it can get" seem @ the least very dumb.

You're literally taking the same quotes out of context that like Brietbart did. He isn't advocating one side or another. If anything he's being consistent with Daily Show dumbness in that he's advocating for a calm debate and assuring both sides that the other side isn't crazy and that both sides have good point and are just working for their children. THat is dumb but more in the way The Daily Show stuff has always been dumb rather than this hidden racism that's being uncovered.

So I had a hard time deciding what is the best Superman cover from the 40s where he's loving up Nazis and I decided it's this one because he's angrily swimming towards a U-boat periscope making an angry face. His powers make it pretty clear that this is completely unnecessary and he's totally doing this for the maximum amount of "gently caress you". The reactions from the Nazis are also priceless.

Yeah, I completely agree but I hardly blame them for it. At least John Oliver has the occasional insightful report and sometimes a call to action that his viewers actually act on. That's already more than a comedy show is 'responsible' for imo.

The hate for them seems woefully misplaced, when it should fully be on inactive liberals themselves.

That whole bit in Life of Brian about the various leftist revolutionary groups being too busy sniping at each other to actually fight the romans is still the realest thing in the film.
